Dear community,   I am using Thingworx Release 8.4.4 and had an issue with the Collection widget redrawing unexpectedly (original issue). The possible solutions are to either upgrade to Thingworx 9, which is currently no option (but for sure later when OpenJDK is supported) or to enable the intro animation.   So this is what I did, I enabled the "PlaysIntroAnimation" flag and can confirm my original issue is gone. But at the same time I remembered why I don't like the intro animation, it has a small shift effect on the contained mashups, i. e. the widgets of the sub-mashups are off a pixel up or down. I hope it gets clear with my screenshots.   In my example I have two overlapping circle shapes, center aligned. How it should look like:   How it looks like with intro animation:   Is this known or even fixed with a newer version already?   Thanks Benny

Hi, I have infotable returns data but i need to send this data weekly by mail in excel file . So please share the idea, how can i get this? Using twx 8.5.0 Facing challenge is ..how can i store infotable data in excel and automatically store in file repository so that sendwithattachment can pickup the file from repository based on scheduled time.   Thank you     

I opened Mathcad Prime 5.0 today and it opened as express.  I tried to reactivate the license, but it just tells me that the products are licensed.  I purchased the yearly subscription and I am due to renew on the 22nd, so it should still be active.  Not sure what to do.  I have the license file saved on the computer, and pointed the license manager to that file - but it stays in express.   What do I need to do?  

Hi,   I cant find any documentation on the property_type column in the value stream. I would like to know the mapping between the ENUM stored in the value stream and the property type. For example property_type = 22 maps to an Integer. I would like the full list.   Thanks, Brandon

Hi, In TW 9.0, are the screens responsive by default? As we noticed that the layouts and panel widgets are removed, it is very difficult to use the containers alone and space the widgets as we require. How can we make the mashups responsive in TW 9.0?   Thanks & Regards, Shalini V.

Dear Colleagues,   I've installed a Thingworx 8.4.9 (Tomcat 9.0, Postgresql 10).  When I start Tomcat service, it's being stopped after a several second. Licencerequestfile.txt is also not created so I cannot generate a licence. Could you please support me? I used the Table of Contents objects to build a Table of Contents for HTML Help. However, I can't seem to customize or format the Table of Contents object.  When I select the Add... button in the Customize Table of Contents window, there's even a note that changes will not effect my Table of Contents. So how can I customize my Table of Contents object for HTML Help?  I cannot use a basic formal block/title object model to create my Table of Contents. To start, I have to combine two elements to create a work package title - hardware name and maintenance action (like combining "Rear Wheel" with "Remove"). Thanks, -James

Hi all I have do  thingworx platform installation  as per PTC guide. I do Tomcat installation time paste this section in java area. -Dserver -Dd64 -XX:+UseG1GC -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Djava.library.path=C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 8.5\webapps\Thingworx\WEB-INF\extensions. After that restart tomcat.  tomcat server stopped and error 4 occured. Next step i cannot do this.pls consider me and reply me sir....

Hi, In my mashup, there is a tab widget having 3 tabs. In the first 2 tabs, there is a collection widget, and it is binded to the output of the same service. On viewing the mashup, we can see data in the collection widget in the first tab but there is no data in the collection widget in the second tab. On changing the default tab value to second, then the data in the collection widget in the second tab is showing but in the first tab, data in the collection widget is not showing. Thanks

Hi everyone,   Is possible to monitor when an user is logged?   For example:   When an user is logged any variable that I have to change to 1 and it to do logout the same variable go to 0.   If it's possible, I can bind this variable to my PLC and to realize the time control for there.   I would like to monitor how many time my user is active on my mashup and I do not know how to do it into thingworx

Community,   I have created some notes on a drawing, and I am trying to figure out how to make symbols float with the notes.  Unlike the previous post where I asked how to make a leader note with a balloon note, this is a little different.  For example, I can make a flag symbol with a note number inside the flag, but if I move the note, the flag symbol will not move with it.  Unlike making a balloon note where I can choose offset, I could not find this feature with symbols, even under the attributes for symbols.  Is there a way to do this?  Thanks in advance.

Hello all.I´m simulating a bellow (optimizing some parameters) and it was constructed as "surface" in Creo - meaning that it has no thickness.So when I enter Simulate I can select all the faces and define them as "shell".The problem is - I think - there is not command for creating shells automatically in a component - you must select the surfaces.But my bellow was created as a pattern! This means when I update the number of convolutions, they will not became shells automatically. The optimization will fail.Is any work around? How to make Simulate to set automatically that the entire model is shell?I´ll have the same problem later when using pressure - if I create new surfaces the pressure over the new surfaces will not be automatically updated - but currently I don´t need to use pressure. One problem each time...Yes, I could use 3D elements and not shells. But is a lot quicker to use shells and I would like to keep it for this optimization stage.Thank you in advance    

Hello everyone. I found out that the Rpm unit is not revolutions per minute, but radians per minute. So, could you please fix Russian localization from "об/мин" (обороты в минуту - revolutions per minute) for (радиан/минуту - radians). 21 pages of calculations became wrong when I realized it. Community,   I went from Creo 6000 to Creo 6040, and I cannot find the ifx fastener data, as shown highlighted below.  I have never encountered this before, even with the Lite version.  Is there a way to fix this?  Thanks in advance.  

Someone else posed the question, "how do you get the equation to wrap down to the left margin when writing long equations" and I have the same problem. Someone answers "ctrl" + "enter" but that doesn't work for me and I'm not sure if it is because of my version. If I press "ctrl" + "enter" it just highlights the rest of the equation. I have MathCAD express prime 6 if that matters.

Community,   Is there a way to activate the LEADER TYPE menu to make a Leader Note?  The Menu Manager on the right is from the balloon note activation.  I want to be able to have an Integral on the end of my leader for a note.  Thanks in advance.  

Dear community,   in Thingworx 8.4.4. I am using Collection widget to display machine KPIs in a mashup. The contained mashup is assigned in design time and does not change in runtime. Also the number of items (= machines) is never changing, only the related KPIs. So why do I use collection widget at all? Because this is a template, rolled out to several production facilities. Within one facility the number of machines is constant but it varies between the facilities.   My original approach was to only read the structure when the mashup is loaded. Then every sub-mashup calls a Service to read and refresh the KPIs. With up to 30 and more machines the overhead becomes quite big, instead of once reading data for all machines I am reading the data for each machine one by one. This is not optimal performance wise and only once we checked the Tomcat logs and it was annoying as hell. The next multiplier is the number of users opening the dashboard. My refresh cycle is every 30 s

Can anyone explain why pinning a file in the recent files list does not work very well?   I pinned a couple of files, a few days ago, in the recent files list under the File tab, as I would do in many other programs.  Today they are no longer pinned.  Shouldn't they stay pinned until I unpin them?  I am using 4.0 and I believe the issue has been in previous versions but I wasn't frustrated enough about it to ask the question.
