Hi all, My team has a mashup that is essentially a dashboard that is kept open in our plants for long periods of time without refresh. Specific details of the mashup aren't important for the issue we are seeing. After being open for longer periods of time, the mashup will crash with this error: Has anyone encountered this before or know of any way to prevent this from happening? We would like these dashboards to be open during the shifts on monitors in the plant without having to refresh due to a random crash after being open for a while. Any input is greatly appreciated! 

 Hello,I’m facing a strange problem with KEPServerEX. We noticed that some alarms are not being logged in ThingWorx but are listed on the HMI. Upon investigation, we found that the scan rate on Kepware was set to 1000 ms, and the boolean tags were changing value too quickly (e.g., 0 -> 1 -> 0 within 200 ms), preventing them from being scanned.We adjusted the device and Quick Client scan rate to 100 ms, and now we can see changes and the update count increment correctly.However, this behavior doesn’t align with what’s happening on the PLC side. When the boolean changes from 0 to 1 on the PLC, Kepware shows the value changing from 0 to 1 and then immediately back to 0. The same behavior occurs for tags with value of 1.Do you know why this could be happening?We currently don’t have access to the PLC, but it shouldn’t be the issue because both Kepware and the HMI read from the same database.Environment:PLC: Siemens S7-300KEPServerEX: v6.14.263.0, Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet driverOS

I am new to PTC but not new to FlexLM license servers.  I have one server with 3 different apps with their own FlexLM.  I have another server with just one application so wanted to install this new PTC license service on it.  I was able to get it to install and the service to start but it will only activate one license at a time even though both services are started. Is it possible to run the PTC license service along side of another application?  I found a KB that says yes, but does not explain how.  The online instructions are not working as both are conflicting with one another.

Hello Eveyone,I currently own a Kepware Siemens Suite license. During the original installation, an Administrator password was created for Kepware, but it was never recorded and has since been lost.As a result, I am now unable to make any changes to my existing installation. For example, I intend to purchase and add an IoT Gateway license, but I cannot apply it to the current Kepware instance due to the missing Administrator password.I kindly request your assistance in either removing or resetting this password so I can proceed with license updates and modifications. I can see own the Siemens Suite License ID.

I have created a new local (according to https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS348371?source=search , the attribute cannot be global) attribute associated with a "WTDocument" sub-type. I intend on adding this new attribute to one of the layouts associated with the sub-type. I wish to configure the attribute in such a way so that, when a user wishes to populate the attribute value field, they have the ability to use a "Picker" to make a selection from the WTParts that exist in the instance. Specifically, I would want the part number to be inputted into the attribute field upon selection. I have been looking at various articles/resources of PTCs and I can see that there is potentially a number of ways of doing this. My understanding is that a "Data Utility" could potentially provide the functionality I'm looking for. Can anybody advise on the best way of achieving my requirement? Hello. I'm new to the software so i'm having a hard time finding this answer.Having some issues with generating creo view files. Actualy wondering how it is processed. 1- model generated in 2015, generates relatively small file(s) 50mb2- same model now in 2025 generated with a lott of files/size 700mb Does the generator first process all changes from 2015 till 2025, then work backwards towards effectivity date? any documentation how this is processed.  And are there methods of limmiting prpcessing time and files? Thanks,john.

I am using ThingWorx Platform Release 9.2 and DatecodeSP9In the Dashboard, when navigating to the Output tab and toggling between Bags/min and Kg/hour, the Time-Series Chart widget fails to display data upon the initial load of the mashup. However, when the Refresh button on the Dashboard is clicked, the data loads successfully after a few seconds. We have verified all bindings and services associated with the mashup and the Time-Series Chart widget. During debugging, we confirmed that all services are loading correctly. Hello everyone,   I was wondering about a use case where I need to save image files (in base64 format) from ThingWorx to a network file share path of our company like this:  \\amae.test-universe.com\dummy\USER\testinglink\5000-project\claim Currently, I do this manually using a Python script running locally on my PC, where I'm already authenticated to the network. It works well because my Windows session has access to the share.Now, I’d like to automate this entirely through ThingWorx — ideally by calling a service and saving the file directly to that network path. I know about FileRepository and FileTransferSubsystem, but I understand that ThingWorx cannot directly supply a username and password for UNC paths.So my questions are:Is it possible to write to a network share that requires authentication directly from ThingWorx? Has anyone implemented a similar use case, and if yes, what approach worked best?Any input, advice, or examples would be greatly appr

Hello, I own a student license and I use a desktop to make my school work at home but i do own a laptop that I take to classes due to it's portability, even being worse than my home desktop, I would love to use Mathcad on both but when I try to activate my license on my laptop it says that the maximum number of license requests were made, if I can't use the software on both my desktop and laptop it gets slightly useless, so I would love to solve this issue

Hello everyone,I have one Tree widget containing some items for selection. When I double click on any one of the item, a grid is displayed containing a list of devices that are part of that particular selection.Now I want that this should be possible using single clicked event. But we have only "double clicked" event trigger  available for standard tree widget. One of the way to do this is creating a customized Tree widget, having a single click event trigger instead of double click.But by any way is it possible to find an alternate solution for this that doesn't requires creation of a customized widget??

My company makes custom filter equipment for each order. We are experimenting with EBOMs within WC. We would be making new MBOMs for every piece of equipment because no two are the same. Is there a way to Save-As both the EBOM and MBOM at the same time? I know you can Save-As the EBOM but that would require an MBOM to be remade for every single WTPart structure. Is there preference or setting I am missing?

I am using Creo Parametric 10. I am encountering a similar issue to what is described here: (1) Replace by unrelated component and asm0001 already... - PTC Community. From that, I am able to delete the "asm0001.asm" from my workspace and that allows me to use replace by unrelated component. However, when I try to upload the "replacement" part to Windchill, I get the error "Assembly - asm0001.asm is not unique".  I checked the Reference Viewer in the part, and asm0001.asm is not listed. Where else can I check to break the reference? The part file is a family table, if that matters.

I would like to create a re-usable choice field. When working on multiple projects, is there a way to implement a choice field into each of the trackers I am working in without having to individually create each option every time? I understand that I could do this by creating a tracker that has my options in it, but then I would lose some of the functionality of say... the Type field where Folder and Information Types display differently from the rest. Is there an out of the box solution for this? In Jama, there are Pick-Lists which can be referenced anywhere throughout the project and re-used as needed. I am looking for something similar to this feature

We just upgraded my environment from WC 12 to WC 13 and Thingworx Navigate from 9.3 to 9.7. We had some custom apps developed which do some number assignment. I am getting an error in some services and I think its because its not grabbing the instance based attribute we added to the Product Container.
