Hi,   I think, me and EMS won't be friends 😞   First my scenario: I have a edge-device where I only can deploy docker-container (via a web-gui) and I can connect to the device via ssh. I build a dockerfile based on ubuntu which includes the EMS (with config.json etc.). If I run my container the edge-device is connected to thingworx (running in aws).   Now I want use EMS-tunneling to connect to the edge device via ssh.   Problem: In the guide (http://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_edge/index.html#page/thingworx_edge_sdks_ems%2Fws_ems%2Fv5.4.0_c_ems_wsems_configuration_tunnel.html%23) it saids you have to install UltraVNC Server on the mashine where EMS is running, but only a windows version is available. So I installed ThinVNC with Xfce-Desktop manually on the ubuntu docker instance. So on some steps of the installation you have todo some inputs - very bad for a docker deployment. After installing a try to start ThinVNC but I get a error message "vncser

I couldn't find any specific post in regards to my question, so I did research on the two subjects individually.   STREAMS - time series data (timestamp and additional data) has a list of activities from things or data associated with things thought of as a table structure with five predefined fields and any number of user-defined fields: timestamp tag source source type location PROPERTIES - how you describe the data points that are directly related to a thing. cannot change the tolerance settings on my dimensions, unknown if there is a  hidden setting switched on. the drop down menu for tolerances is also grayed out

So Say I have a default part size. For example, I can purchase plywood in 5x5ft sheets. I want all my dimensions of multiple parts to be based on that  full sized pattern. I might cut it into an L shape for one part, or into a foot wide strip in another. But they are all based on that one part. Is it possible to import the fullsized sheet "plywood.prt" that already has material data attached, into an assembly multiple times to be placed and have extrudes cut from it using other constraints or will naming get in the way? Is there a better way to do this?   For other parts, like extruded aluminum with a complicated cross section, I'd only need to make the shape once, then cut it at different lengths inside the assembly, which would be phenomenal. Which is why I'd like to learn this now, while I'm only dealing with a project with simple cross sections.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I know about recording macros and the Arbortext IsoDraw Macro Language Reference 7.2.pdf.   I'll give an example of what I'm trying to create as a macro and if anyone knows what or where I can go to learn macro coding to do this kind of macro coding.   Ex. I have a rectangle in my ISODraw document (this is our format border). I already have a macro that I created that will select all the text and art created for this particular document. Then aligns it all in the center of the rectangle border and then aligns to the bottom then moves it up a specific distance. So that every document of art we create is centered and at the same exact distance from the bottom of the border. The border does not change in width and the bottom of the border does not move. The height will change depending on the height of the art and text. To change the height we will move the top of the rectangle border down to the correct height. I have

When i want to change working directory to some other folder, it doen't take UNC path. if mapped from network drive, it works.   am i doing something wrong? or Creo has limitations.

Hi guys, I'm just getting started with Mathcad. Currently I'm trying to understand the different kinds of solvers. It seems to me there are three "basic categories":   1. "Single command Solvers", e. g. root, lsolve etc. where you just pick your appropriate solver and launch 2. "Solve blocks", which allow for separate guess values and boundary constraints, but seem to support only find, minerr, minimize, maximize and odesolve 3. The symbolic "solve" command, which seems to be for solving equations symbolically (but apparently also produces numerical solutions).   I don't quite understand what the latter two are for. What is their benefit? Aren't there plenty of solvers for everything (save maybe symbolic solutions) in the first "category"? So when should I use what? 🤔 *confused*   Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx.    

I was trying renew license on my creo 4.0 student license, but it wasnt worked, so I installed new creo M080 (i had M060). It worked fine, but i had problem with one of my projects. When i tried opened it wrote, that its not student license project (now I know that, it was just one SKF bearing that i downloaded), so I Installed M060, but it extremely slowed down. 3d graphic looks fine, but browser is horrible and its spreads to windows browser aswell. So when I close creo, windows browser is still slow. I need restart pc tu fix it. So I tried reinstall second time to M080 and its better than in M060, but still horrible. I am using .bat file to opening creo. I will try to open it normally

Hello,   I'm on Thingworx 8.4 I'm trying to create application key with a service, but unfortunately some user can't do that.    Previously, I had this error : Unable to process import: Not authorized for CreateSo I went to Permission -> Collection -> Application Key -> Design Time and add user and give it the rigth to create and delete.   But now, I have this error : Import Failed: Unable to create applicationKey: [1,018] Data store unknown error: [Error occurred while accessing the model provider.]]   Some users (Administrator, or users in Admin group) could do this action without problem   Do you have some information about this please ?

At the beginning of useing Creo elements dircet modeling 19.0 was working well. But after a period of use, the Select (F2) command and preselect command cannot work,  and the space function key is also disabled. I don't know what the problem is.

On the top of support.ptc.com some notifications are display - see below. A few weeks ago it was enough to click on the cross and the notifications disappeared permanently. Now they reappear after window refresh. Does anybody know how to get rid of these notifications ? Thanks for any comment 🙂

Hi everyone,   I'm revising a drawing that is missing mass and volume fields in the tables on each sheet.   The standard units for our metric parts are mm-kg-sec, but we want to call out g for mass and cm for volume in the drawings.  Right now I am using the following parameters, but want to know if anyone out there knows how to come up with gram and cm.  Possibly with a relation equation?   &PRO_MP_MASS[.4] kg. &PRO_MP_VOLUME[.0] mm³   I appreciate any responses. Hello, we have defined a Thing with MQTT Template, receiving packets from MQTT broker. Packets are coming and stored in a stream, but sometimes packets are lost. We know that these packets have been sent from the MQTT broker but we don't find them in the stream. The packet is received into a JSON property, and the subscription (defined on data change) read the JSON and transform it to store into the stream. Any idea ? Many thank Dimitri
