It's probably a dumb question but just wondering if it's possible to display weather info in the google maps widget.  I use markers to display where our assets are located and would also like to display weather info in the area.  I followed the instructions in the link below to get weather info in json format and displayed it in html, but I was wondering if I can do this in the maps widget. https://github.com/google/maps-for-work-samples/tree/master/samples/maps/OpenWeatherMapLayer   The following is a screenshot of the html:

Hi, I am trying to create a digital twin of a robotic arm. In this context I am hoping to find a way to visualize the finite element simulation realtime in Thingworx. So that internal stresses and strains in the model can be seen live at all times. Do any of you have an idea on how this can be done?   Thank you for helping out!   Bjørn

Curious if anybody has attempted a connection to an Azure Cosmos database that is stood up with the SQL API.  We are fairly certain that we'll need to create an extension, but if anybody has any experience with it, any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I have latest version of HTML Help Compiler installed on my system . However when i publish a doc to HTML Help format i get an Error message telling that HTML help compiler is not installed . I am not sure what is causing this issue .

Hello All,   I have a set of data coming from industrial gateway to ThingWorx using Manufacturing Apps Suite and we are successfully polling machine data.  We are using kepware where machine data is pushed initially.    We have a tag called Diameter. The data type of the tag on Kepware side is Float type. On the ThingWorx side, the tag is bound to a thing property of data type Number.   The issue that I am facing is that, For example at Kepware we can see the value of the Diameter tag as 1.6. But when we receive this data in the ThingWorx property, the value is 1.600000023841858.   I would like to understand the reason behind this behavior and also how I can fix this issue and get correct values.   Appreciate all help.   Thanks & Regards, Madhumita

I am trying to create a Thing template using the base template PTC.ISA95.EquipmentThingTemplate. I am trying to add the following Thingshapes:  1. PTC.Factory.PhysicalAssetThingShape 2. PTC.SCA.SCO.AssetIdentifierThingShape 3. PTC.SCA.SCO.StatusThingShape 4. PTC.ISA95.IdentifierThingShape 5. PTC.SCA.SCO.MonitoredPropertiesThingShape This is mentioned in the Thingworx Apps Customization Guide. However I am unable to add Thingshapes 2,4 and 5. I am getting an error which says "Name Conflict Detected. Cannot add Thingshape". Please resolve this issue.

Hello guys,   I have the following scenario: A Thing Template with 10 properties, Things that use this Thing Template and a Mashup that I want to show first the list of Things that use this Thing Template (I used the service GetImplementingThings) and I want to show the Selected Row(s) 10 property names that I created in a list that the user can choose. Is there a service already for this or do I have to create one?   Thank you.

I am trying to show the spline line on my views, but it will not appear.  I have the box checked to show spline boundary on view.  Anything else I can look for?  One thing I did notice is that the partial view spline line will appear with just doing a projection view, then a partial view.  The line is removed when you incorporate a section view onto the partial view.

So in further, user can set up his own viewset, or use already designed viewset with predefined key bindings to call this code for execution. I will appreciate any suggestions.

Hello everyone, I concern about  a problem with the matching between user and Thing in Thingworx (For example: SIM/card management). Because the connection between user and Thing is one to one, so in the case there are a lot of things (e.g. 100 000 sim cards), then, I need to create 100 000 users and assign each thing to each user to ensure that other user can't see other thing in the Mashup. Hence, that is not a good ideal to do this because I need a lot of efforts to manage the users. I also think an other solution, that means create an unique "host" user in Thingworx for all user and an other database to store the user. When user login, I will authenticate with the database (use database extension) and if success, use the appKey of "host" user to load the mashup corresponding to the Thing connected to user (create a property named "username" and filter Thing by this property). Hi ,  The customer need to kinds of mobile clients:  mobile phone and iPad.   If login with mobile phone then display less content than iPad,  so the home page will be different.     I know that Thingworx can set a Mobile mashup for a user , the questions are :  Is it possible to define two mashups , one for mobile phone ,another one for iPad ?  if Thingworx can only has one mobile mashup,  how does the mashup knows the request comes from mobile phone or iPad so than I can hide/adjust certain widget according to the device flag ?      Regards, Sean

Hi I added the below to the Java Options and every time Tomcat restarts, they go missing.  New Installation- TWX 8.4.3 - MS SQL - Tomcat version - 8.5.23  -Dserver -Dd64-XX:+UseG1GC-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8-Djava.library.path=<path to Tomcat>\webapps\Thingworx\WEB-INF\extensions   Did anyone face the same issue as mine?  Thingworx platform automatically shuts down on ERROR.  Appreciate your help with this! I would like to use the OpenStreetMap Widget with custom styling, instead of using blue for water i would like it to be black etc to match closer to the dark theme we are using.Using Google Maps Widget is not an option as it has a cost associated Per Click. Can this be done through some custom CSS?

All,   This might be a bit odd. I have an assembly. It is a vendor part. I imported it. It has parts that are actually the same part number, but the model name came in it's own name. I need to make a repair kit drawing. I don't want to go nuts changing out parts. I figured if I made the parts have identical parameters it would bring them together as one model and be a quantity of 2. In the past I've actually seen this happen and it was not intentional. I killed relations in bom to see if they had any bearing on the outcome. No.    Is there a way I can make this happen?   Please see attached.   WayneF Creo4

I want to make an image blackandwhite by CSS. Now I am trying to get a custom css work. I made a CSS-class which works if i put it on the "img" type. To get it work on the specific Image-Widget I need the correct selectors to reach the img. Is there a documentation anywhere which selectors are available on which widget, therefore I don't have to go vie webdebugger and try all combinations?   .img_blackwhite .widget-image { -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%); /* Safari 6.0 - 9.0 */ filter: grayscale(100%); } But when I apply "img_blackwhite" as custom class on my image-widget it doesn't work. Are the selectors correct? I also realized in the webdebugger that my style class is not applied anywhere. It was added to the dom under "mashup-styles" but not added to any element in the dom. I'm sure this has been answered, but I cannot for the life of me find it.   I have a report in Windchill written in Query Builder that I would like to leverage inside of a Thingworx thing.   It takes two parameters partNumber partView   The id is 12345   How do I call this report?   Any help is appreciated!

Hi,      I am installing thingworx 8.4 on top of sql server 2017. After Installation when I go to Composer, message showing as "503 Service Unavailable". So I have checked the Application Log showing message as "message: Unable to initialize and start system: Connections could not be acquired from the underlying database!".      For reference I have attached Application log, platform-setting.json. We are following the document for installation as https://support.ptc.com/WCMS/files/172634/en/Getting_Started_with_MS_SQL_Server_and_ThingWorx_1.pdf.
