I could not find any article or post that discussed this specifically so asking here. Should be an easy one. In the process of migrating apps to a new install of Thingworx, this should be a common concern. So, we have moved over our Entities but now need to move over the data from the data tables. I have 5 that I need to move over but currently, I am in a rehearsal/test mode. According to CS393743  I should be able to select each, export the data and import to the new server. This fails to address anything about subsequent updates. Since I am in a test mode,  I want to validate things are working so I need the data but data is still being actively updated in production. During a Go live event, I will take the final extract and wish to re-import the data to this new instance. What will occur? I can see three possible outcomes: Import succeeds and all data exists in new instance (ideal) Import fails as unique entries already exist (bad) Data is duplicated or merged with p

Basically, there is a workflow where at one task (after completed) the user has to choose between 3 different routes in a list. What I would like to do is have one particular route as the default (radio button is always on this route unless user specifies otherwise). The other 2 routes are optional (used less frequently).It looks like Windchill's default is to select the first radio button.Is there a way, in the workflow, to set the default (radio button) to that one specific route?

Good morning, everyone,I'm currently working on a Mathcad sheet. I have two time-dependent functions that I want to combine with a differential equation. However, I keep getting an error message, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.I managed to get it working in MATLAB, but I would like to finish this properly in Mathcad. The issue occurs on the last page, where the solve block isn't isolated from the rest of the calculations Does anyone know how I can solve this? Hi,I have a nested loop where I wish to calculate crack growth under a block of stress range data and then continue the calculation for multiple blocks to see how many blocks of data it takes until failure (crack is half diameter of shaft).I am sure there is a simple fix, but I cannot seem to find it!Any assistance would be appreciated. Ross

Hi Mathcad 10.0 Prime User,I want to make a table with different variables. My Q is always different, on which the other variables depend on. Q has to be 2 or higher. I found a nearly 4 year old post saying this was not possible. I am asking again because I have read about updates to simplified reps in more recent revisions.   Does anyone know if Creo 4 and Creo 5 includes the ability to update the mass of a part relative to an active simplified rep?    Thanks in advance.

Hello @LucMeekes ! I am using prime 9.0.0 and I cannot seem to find an option to add multiple entries to a single plot like in this answer. In Creo, I'm getting lot of Windchill Icons just above the  model tree. Please let me know if anyone see this issue. Usually we will get one Windchill icon for one part right. but I'm getting Creo window with lot of Windchill icons as below. Please some one help me on this.   Thank youKumar B

It is common to close the browser without properly ending editing. In this case, users think that the content being edited will not be reflected and will end (editing will end), but in reality, not only will editing end, but editing by other users will also be blocked.   This is a kind of careless mistake. But it happens more often than you might think.When a user closes the browser and leaves, other users have to wait a long time to edit that item. This wastes unnecessary time for the user. Hello all,I have a multi-row configuration table with two key fields defined in the datashape. In a service I need to get a specific row from the configuration table using the GetConfigurationTableRow function which takes a key and a tableName as input parameters.My configuration table key fields are fieldA and fieldB. The values that make up these key values are being retrieved from another step in my service and are being passed to the GetConfigurationTableRow. I am passing the key parameter as fieldAValue+fieldBValue (so the passed key is something like "valueAvalueB". This mimics the format of the compound key visible in a datatable mashup; the key value of the configuration table is not visible anywhere that I can determine. My service fails with the below error:"Error executing service serviceName. I am using Creo 9.I have received a large step file with over 1k components, I have imported it successfully and now I need to rename some of the files. I tried to use "Use template" option - no matter what I choose to do - the generation of file names would wipe out all of the values in the "New File Name" column (see screenshot attached). I tried  asterisk symbol in front, at the end, or both in front and after the characters i need to replace; i also tried using suffixes and not using suffixes for the new file name. I also tried File > Save, edit file list in excel, and then import it back, but it doesn't apply the renaming when importing.I see most of the problems with file names being too long, but I can't remove sections of file names using template. For example, i need to replace "STEEL" in the names of the files with "S" in 200 files, but no matter what I do I can't make it work. If i use "Template" then it wipes out all names, or if I Export the file nam

I am using Creo Simulate Release N/A and DatecodeN/ADie Modalanalyse ergab 58 Eigenmoden. Danach möchte ich eine dynamische Analyse im Zeitbereich machen (um die Erregerkräfte in die Struktur einspielen zu können). Wie gewohnt natürlich im Reiter "Vorherige Analyse" die besagte Modalanalyse gewählt. Weiters möchte ich die Dämpfungskoeffizienten für jeden Eigenmode individuell eingeben ... also dementsprechend eingestellt ... und ich hätte erwartet, dass ich nun 58 Eingabemöglichkeiten bekomme. Leider wurden mir nur 4 Eingabemöglichkeiten (für die ersten 4 Eigenmoden) angeboten.Woran könnte dies liegen?Habe derartige Berechnungen schon öfter gemacht und konnte bis jetzt auch die Dämpfungskoeffizienten immer individuell einstellen.Danke schön für Hilfe.SG Markus Plainer

Hi new poster here,Im trying to connect a Turck I/O module to my KepserverEX 6 like the subject says, but I dont know whether that is possible. I tried using the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Ethernet as my driver , and selected the ControlLogix 5500 model for my device, but i cant seem to create tags for it.  Please advise, thanks.

Could you please advise if there is a way to enable ‘Export to Excel’ functionality for Standard Profiles? I can export License Profiles to Excel but don’t see the same option available for Standard Profiles. Is this feature restricted, or can it be enabled through permissions or configuration?

I am making a spline in a part based on a large collection of points I am creating from a file.  When I assemble this part into an assembly I want to know the location of these points relative to the assembly coordinate system.  Is there a way for me to measure the x,y,z distance from the assembly coordinate system to those points all at once instead of having to do hundreds of individual measure commands?  Creo Parametric 8.0.5.0

to whom it may concern... Hi there, I recently installed Creo Parametric 10.0.8.0.As it turned out, the debug console, you can activate by adding "set CEF_DEBUG_PORT=9222" to your start command is broken in the latest release of Creo 10. Usually, You get debug information displayed, when You open "http://localhost:9222/" on the computer running Creo Parametric.In 10.0.8.0 that address just shows a blank page (NO "This site can’t be reached" error !).In 10.0.7.0 everything works as intended. I tested this on several machines. Also tried to install both versions parallel. But to get the console working again, I had to uninstall Creo completely and reinstall 10.0.7.0 again. 

I entered registration data to obtain a download link, received the link, and downloaded the installer.
