Recently as a drive to minimise risk to our network we rescinded all admin accounts on our PCs, although we do have the ability to run things with admin rights using shift-ctrl right click "Run as different user..."So now Creo (2.0 M230) runs fine as a normal user, but the Creo Help Centre is trashed and only works when you run as a user with admin rights (on some PCs!!) and on the remainder it runs using the normal user non-admin logon.Has anyone encountered this, and is there a fix ?I've searched the normal PTC Knowledge Base but nothing shows (that I can see).ThanksBill

Hello all,   I had to add a part to an assembly I was making, so I modeled the new part in the assembly with references based on some of the already existing geometry. Does this mean the new part has constraints by default? If not, how do I add them?   Thank you.

When testing my service calls it appears to be returning Thing [ThingName] is not running.I am using the cloud iMonnit extension v1.1, this has all calls ready built for you. Cannot quite understand why this is not working.

Hi,   I want to calculate a deflection of a beam with Odesolve in MC15.   The deflection consists of two parts: y1(x) and y2(x).   I could solve the y1(x), but when trying to solve y2(x), i got an error-message: "this variable is not defined" You can see it near the end of the sheet. The boundary-conditions are: deflection in the bearings are zero, the bending moments as well.   What am i doing wrong here? Thank you for your help.   ps.: The MC15 File can be uploaded only as a zipped file.

There used to be a way to watch previous PTC webinars. I'm specifically looking for the webinars with demos of upcoming upgrades to FlexPLM. Are those gone now, or am I just looking in the wrong place? (I've checked under FlexPLM Ideas and FlexPLM Questions.)

I need to know how to create a .sup file and have Creo read it on startup.   I've tried exporting my config, manually adding the ".sup" extension and then moving that file to my start folder (same one my config.pro is located) to see if it will overwrite that test command option.  No luck.  Anyone that can point out what I am doing incorrectly?   Thanks!

I am tyring to change the data type of a few attributes from "string" to "integer". We are using Creo 3.0 and Intralink 11 (if that matters).  I have logged in as the administrator and looked through the "type and attribute management", but I cannot figure out how to edit the attribute type. Under the data type it says "java.lang.String". When I click edit under actions, it doesn't give the option to change it. The option must be hidden in here somewhere...   And it isn't editable from the relation window in Creo, but is designated and set as user-defined. Any ideas?

I make a lot of models that involve pyramidal frustrums (transition of a rectangular section to another rectangular section, linearly). Rather than use the measured value calculated by Creo, I thought I'd have a go at calculating the volume directly from the dimensions.When I check my calculations, the volume calculated directly from the dimensions differs from the Creo analysis result.I minimized the accuracy value, but still get the exact same result.Here are my simple valuesBase rectangle: 5 X 3 -> Base area: 15Top rectangle: 4 X 2 -> Top area: 8Height: 1Frustrum of a pyramid volume is Volume = ( Area Base + Area Top + SQRT ( Area Base * Area Top ) ) * Height / 3 = 11.3182Creo, on the other hand, gives a volume of 11.3333.Anyone have any insights into this? This is simple shape, and kind of scares me about what might be happening with more complicated geometry.

See attached pdf. X and Y axis both have the same scale / range 0 - 9350 When displayed in mathCAD Prime 4.0 only hte x axis is formatted 0- 9350   Why does printing / exporting change the plot axis??     Thanks Adam

My computer blue screens/restarts when I open any part. Creo functions normally until I try to open a part. Here is the error:"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. I have several Things named "thing1", "thing2", "thing3", "thing4", etc, which I want to delete. I am thinking of a way to first 'Find' or 'Query' or 'Search' the Things that begins with "thing" and then 'Delete' them. Nevertheless, I do not know which service to use to 'Find' or 'Query' or 'Search' Things.Anybody knows what service do I need? Or is there any better solution to my intention?thanks
