Import from spreadsheet does not allow import of attributes with cascading "Hidden" rules As for the workarounds:“Disable the condition definition for the IBA’s required/hidden constraint, thus the validation code will not be invoked”: removing the rule allows the import. But we cannot remove/introduce the cascading rule each time there is an import from spreadsheet. This workaround is not applicable for prod environment.“Make the IBA’s display name be same with its internal name , thus the validation code will execute smoothly”:If the cascading rule is enabled: the import fails in any case, even if the IBA’s display name equals the internal one.If the cascading rule is disabled: see 1/Also, you already asked to try this solution. Please check the mail I sent regarding this (on Monday, April 17 at 9:06 AM), stating it does not work when the cascading rule is enabledmakeing the internal and display name to match didn't help either    

I'm having an issue with Sweep in a channel. I'm not sure why it doesn't cut as much on sides following walls. You can easily guess what the intent was. I'm not sure what went wrong with my idea of how to cut the shape actually. Also, it doesn't generate some rounds around as planned.  EDIT: it sems like the cut sketch follows YZ plane in normal instead being normal to the intersect. I'm not sure how to force it to follow the intersection's normal.   

Hi All, I have a part created in very old version of creo.The axis "AXS_HOLE_A" in it is built up using reference of two planes DTM33 & DTM34. See attached screenshot. I want to edit location of those two planes. However I am not able to find those two planes in the new latest version of creo. Can anyone please assist how to locate those two planes? Thank you very much in advance!

Hello, I am currently using the base EMX extension and I noticed the extension utilizes injection molding. I wanted to know if the EMX extension is capable of creating plates/molds for pulp molding? Thank you.

Is there a faster way to toggle part or component transparency in assemblies than: Click to select, then from the ribbon menu: Model Display>Component Display Style>Transparent?As often as parts need to be toggled from opaque to transparent during the assembly modelling process, what I need is 'Transparent on/off' from the right-click cursor menu. Or even better, a hover-over cursor toolbar or menu with a transparent toggle.

MathCAD seems to recognise milli-, kilo- and mega- versions of certain units (eg mW, kW, MW, mm, km) but not others (eg kJ, MJ, kmol).  I find that I am almost always having to start a worksheet by defining kJ or kmol ... which is a real nuisance and seems unneccesary. So:- what is the rationale behind the units that have kilo-, milli- or mega- versions?- is there a way of ensuring that these combos are defined for every worksheet (the new Prime 11 units change is no help here)?

Hello,i've done an update from Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.2 to Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.7.1.1.Now the same assemblies are very slow in zooming and have sometimes a delay in movement.I use WIN10 Pro, HP Z4 G4 Workstation with Nivdia Quadro P2000 and 2x16GB DDR4 RAM. Can i make any settings or hardware upgrade to make the programm as fast as it was with V20.2? Or should i install a version beetween V20.2 and V20.7 with more functions than V20.2 but comparable speed?BR, Chris

Good morning, PTC Community:I am getting stuck in quite a simple solve block. See attached for pipe min wall thickness calculation.A sensible solution for OD is somewhere slightly greater than 0.60-inch.Is this related to TOL or CTOL commands? Even if I take the TOL or CTOL off, the solution gets stuck in the solver.Do I have too many items in the Guess block?I use Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0. Your review and suggestions for a fix will be appreciated. Regards,Joseph T.

We are using thingworx navigate to fetch data from windchill. We used scheduler to trigger services on daily basis. But now customer wanted to execute service whenever there is a change of value in workflow state. Any idea on how to achieve this use case ?

Hi everybody! Is there any solution to create a QR Code internally in Thingworx? We tried it with the google api you explained in another topic but unfortunately our customer is not allowing this external apis to happen. In this system it is forbidden to use external apis.  Is there a possibility maybe something in github that I did not find for now to integrate a qr code extension in Thingworx to have it local. 

Hi, Windchill 11.1 M020, MPMLink I've created an mBOM, process plan with operations, representations and I can generate the work instructions as HTML pages. Are they stored somewhere and associated to either the process plan or the product variant itself? I can't find it anywhere.If not and as a short description states they're "dynamically generated" then how it's supposed to work on the shopfloor? How is the operator supposed to generate the correct set of instructions for the order they receive? Best regards

I have lots of text field widgets in my mashup where i want its default text to be coming from my Thing property values. Basically i want them already filled with the property values. This is to ease editing of the values for the users and to prevent them from starting all over again in case they wanna edit. Mashup Property ValuesI created a service where it just returns this property infotable but when i try to bind in the mashup, there is no selected row that i can bind to the text field as its text source 

I have a requirement where the client wants to check if all their servicers are up and running. They are asking for a Mashup with layout and various point on the layout indicating the location of that server. I am checking for a provision in thingworx Thing service to perform Ping operation and check. Need support on how to achieve this with RhinoJS in Thingworx.

Since @ttokoro  recently once again tried to take us into the world of riddles and puzzles (-> Find BC:CD - PTC Community), I thought I would follow up with a problem that I dealt with some time ago.   Its the 123 year old Haberdasher problem, posed originally by the famous puzzle inventor Henry Dudeney. Actually there are various different publishing dates around - 1902, 1903, 1907 ...   The task is to divide an equilateral triangle of side length 1 with three straight, but not necessarily continuous, cuts into four parts so that they can then be put together to form a square. Dudeney provided the solution only in the form of a drawing, but without specifying the exact dimensions. Let D and E be the midpoints of AC and AB. The first cut runs from E to a point F on AB. The other two cuts run from D and G perpedicular to EF. G is a point an AB and it can easily be seen that AG = AF+0.5 (or equivalent GB = 0.5-AF). The four pieces now can be assembled to form

Sometimes I have to burst out laughing at the stupidity of PTC stuff (to keep from crying).  Here is a great example: I asked:  "How can we change the number of decimal places shown for a dimension in a note?"I was directed to https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS337935SOOO informative.  All it really says:Not part of the Creo Parametric functionality Even the title asks "HOW" meaning the article does not meet its own goal. OK, so did you think that is a sufficient answer?  How about explaining the preferred workflow to accomplish it?  Obviously it is done, and it is/was ProE functionality.  When and WHY was it removed?  The article is useless as it does not give any additional information. What is the point of directing someone to it if it does not answer the question? Please, PTC, it's time to pull a clue.  It is NOT helpful to state the obvious as if the problem does not exist.Yes, there are multiple workaroun

Mathcad prime 10Getting an error when tried to save"The file type is not supported. Logfile is located at C:\ProgramData\PTC\MathcadPrime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception_20250505_102636.log" I can't locate this file

I've been using Mathcad Prime 3.0 for a few years now.  With annual subscriptions, I'd expect that updates would keep me current, but seeing that there's a version 11.0 now, looks like I was wrong.   My IT department loaded 3.0 on my new laptop, which should have been the same as on my old desktop, but I cannot open the files created previously.  I get the message "This file is not compatible with your current version of Mathcad, because it is from a more recent version of Mathcad".   Any ideas on why this is happening?   What later versions of Prime would still be able to open these 3.0 files?
