Background:During check in, thumbnails are generated for both models and drawings, so far so good.I use a mapkey to use only the custom check in routine with both models and viewable objects.What I would like to control is how the thumbnail drawing images are generated.  I don't have any issues with the model.Issue:When I use a blue background and check in, I get this in Windchill, both large and small thumbnails:This is not so legible.  It opens in Creo View like this also and is very difficult to read.When I change to a white background:This works and is legible in WC and Creo View.So the question:How do I configure the monochrome thumbnail creation without having users change or force to B/W background?Thanks

Hi!Creo Simulate has a feature called distributed computing. Is this some parallel computing using e.g. MPI distributing a simulation load over multiple nodes? Is there any good setup-How-To? Is this feature always included or do we need an additional license (for each node)?Any recommendations for setup or benchmarks for achievable speedup.br Bernhard

I have an excel (.xlsx) file with a BOM of an assembly. Hello,   In our current build (Integrity 10.7), a Test Suite item can be edited in the Integrity Client's Document View to create a new Test Case item. This Test Case item automatically has a Shared Test Case item created and related to it via the "References" field on the Test Case item. Field values  provided through the Document View (such as Category, Reference Mode, Text, etc.)  then appear on both the Test Case item and the related Shared Test Case item.   Is it possible through configuration to add to the list of fields that are populated on both the Test Case and Shared Test Case at creation? We are currently unable to identify where in the configuration this is determined.   Our goal is to add to the list so that additional fields can be stored on both the Test Case and Shared Test Case items at creation.   Thanks, Bryan

Hi everyone,Here David, new user of PTC Creo Simulate.Hope you can help me with this question.As far as I´ve read about screw connection, there are different possibilities to simulate a screw connection.As you can see in the file Pic.jpg, my assembly is a round plate, supported in the inner face of a round structure. There is a screw connection along the contact surface between plate and structure.At the begginig I wanted to be the most accurate possible. So I created with the Intelligent Fastener  Tool all the screws (10.9. M24x100). Once I had them. What should I do? I started to create "interfaces" (Simulate>Refine Model>Connections) between each screw and plate, and also each screw and structure. Also structure and plate interface. I wasn´t sure about it, there were a lot of connections. In my experience with Marc Mentat in University, you can select easily all the contacts with a contact table.Anyway I did that. My mashup looks like thisthose three widget all tell me the temperature of the things.As you can see from the image, they show no datas untill page is refreshed (which happens when I wait for a while the temperature changes or I change the Thing from the List to the right).I don't like this and I'd like to see values as soon as I open the page so I was thinking about set a autorefresh when I open the page.May you tell me how to do it?

Hi all it seems that something has changed since i used this function last time. We are using Creo 3 M100 now I would like to place an assembly tangential to an other assembly but Creo takes always the "wrong" side of the tangentso expected is this but i always get this I think to remember that you could switch the direction of the tangent in earlier Creo versions ....is this function lost, am I doing something wrong?regards Chris This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I want to remove datum B from the 13mm dimension shown in the image below. Hello everyone,   I am currently working on the ECAD-MCAD collaboration with incrementel IDX-File. We use Creo3.0 for the MCAD department and PADSVX (Mentór Graphics) for the ECAD.   My question concerns the transfert of attibutes with the IDX-File. Let me resume : In PADS I create a board-outline and place component (from the pads-lib) on it, Each komponents have several attributes (Part-Type, PCB-decal, ASSM, ME, MK, MANUF etc...) with values. When it's done, I create a IDX-baseline File with the MCAD Collaborator in 3DView, and send it to MCAD. When I open this file as ECAD-Assembly in Creo, I have my board and each element als .prt file. But when I look at the parameter (=attribute in PADS) of each element, I don't see the attributes from the ECAD-interface, I see attributes from Creo and from Windchill (yeah because we use Windchill btw). All I have is the Part-Type and PCB-Decal , which is cool okay, but it would be better if I could have the other parameters.   Wh

Attachments describe my issue.  Goal of program is to extract all relevant rows from a larger matrixCabDataCu for further analysis. The program is set to test for "0" in column 1 of CabDataCu and ifnot "0" extracts the row.   Programs works properly to ignore matrix rows below 5 and extracts 1-5.The problem that befuddles me now is that it misses, i.e. does not ignore or jump over matrix Row4 with a "0" in the first column.  I have tried several variants of the program statements and all haveended up with same result.  Any ideas?

Creo 2, M220Our client's default units are mm and their config file has default_dec_places set to 1.With normal dimensions, within the feature creation the value rounds to a single decimal place, but if you edit the feature (not edit definition) you can type in a 2 or more decimal number and Creo retains the value, but displays it as one decimal place.I'm having issues, however, with ratio dims, in particular the dims that place the radius points in a variable round:I can drag those points and Creo gives me the 6 digit, somewhat random numbers above.  Creo seems to snap in roughly 0.05 increments, however if I enter 0.05 Creo converts it to 0.1, 0.25 becomes 0.3, etc.  I cannot enter in dims in smaller increments than 0.1 and I cannot drag in increments smaller than roughly 0.05.In this case I need the fine control to put those points where I want. Is there a way to set Creo to ignore the default_dec_places setting for ratio dims?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC

I am trying to create a mashup that does simple CRUD operations on an InfoTable. I suppose this is possible. Does anybody know a tutorial or can point me the right direction for accomplishing this?So far I have managed to bind the table to a grid but I am stuck at modifying the data.

Hello Everyone!I have been working with the .NET SDK and can't seem to find any examples of File Watching and was curious if anyone knew if this is built into this SDK?  I have combed through the c sdk and it has several more examples, one where they call a method twFileManager_ListEntities(thingName, WATCHED_DIR, NULL, LIST_FILES).  The example then compares file listings of a folder and uploads any new files to thingworx.  I have tried to look for something similar with the .NET SDK and can't find it anywhere.  Can anyone shed some light on this? Hi, I know that how to save decals within my own system i.e to place them with in default place for decals but when i export to any other format, only the colors of materials are saved without any decals. Hello.Is there a way to convert the Relations Units from in to mm? I have a bunch of Relations with constant numbers, i.e. D5=2.5 in, but I don't know a way to convert that in D5=63.5mm. Is there a way to do it automatically? I don´t want to change them one by one, it would take an eternity. Thank you.

Hi guys,I am facing following scenario.I need to create sort of workflow, which starts upon customer action (aka button) it will start certain process/remote test (started with REST Call - 3rd party system, no callbacks, no promises etc.) and after a while I need to start another service which than parses the result.I wanted to do it with timer (set for 1minute, but that is not the important part).The timer is set to:Automatically Enable Timer on Startup - FalseThing is active - FalseEnabled - FlaseUser action will start the service, which makes 3rd party RPC (remote procedure call), then activates the Timer Thing, restarts the Thing (otherwise I have some errors....) enable Timer thing. Hi All,I just want to clear something regarding visualization. Visualization for solidworks is not working, I need to configure cad worker agent. Now I open the case in PTC support and ask help for cad worker agent configuration. They said to add a solidworks cad agent worker, you need a solidworks installed in the server. It is required to install the solidworks in the server? But I have a solidworks running on my client PC.
