New user of Creo 3.0 here. I am trying to find where the "lead_trail_zeros" setting I am used to from Creo 2.0 is located for displaying a leading zero on dimensions in a drawing. Hi Creo Admin Community,I have been setting up my companies Config.pro and .sup options.  The question specifically I have is the drawing_setup_file option which sets the location of the prodetail.dtl file for drawings.When starting a new drawing it doesn't seem to follow the path I set with the company set options (example of what I have in config.pro drawing_setup_file C:\Home\creo\Configuration\prodetail.dtl).  I even put the file in the <creo3.0_loadpoint>\text\prodetail.dtl and the options are still not how I set it.Only when I point to the prodetail.dtl by way of File>Prepare>Drawing Properties>Detail Options (change) does my options are set for my session.  And of course closing and opening Creo 3 my prodetail.dtl options are back to OOTB1) How to set the prodetail.dtl location so that it has my option setting without going thru the detail options change?2) Where is the standard drawing options set if not in the <creo3.0_loadpoint>\text\prodet

Has any one ever needed to report the wight of wire in an assembly?  How do you wight to a cable.  Most wire I've come a crossed give lbs/ft, how can i add this in to be calculated with the assembly? Hi all,I have some problems with an equation that tried to describe the displacement in x direction of a piston moved by a constant pressure. On the opposite side, to counter the movement, I have:the mass loada springthe inertiaa counter-pressure that is function of the velocity at square.I'm not able to resolve the equation.I've removed the units of measure in the eventuality they could interfere in the process.I use MC 15.Regards

I have a project that all of a sudden the relations programs will not change dimensions in the project.  It acts like it is locked and will not let them be modified by the relations.  I can go into sketcher and manually change the dimensions.

I have a part that had some holes show up on them. I want to explore change solutions in ProjectLink for the increased collaboration tools as part of our change process. However, I've not found a viable solution for copying the PDMLink objects into a Project for editing. The copy/paste option creates shared objects where all updates are shown in PDMLink. Save As and Move functions do not allow the objects to be transferred to ProjectLink. Is there a method for creating a copy of PDMLink objects in ProjectLink for editing? Is there another method for developing proposed solutions to changes before revising the objects as part of the ECN process?Chris

Hi Community, I'm new to this forum so please be gentle. Currently using Creo 2.0Quite often I want to measure distance from a midpoint of an edge in a feature/part to a midpoint of an edge in another feature/part. The distance is to be projected to a common parallel plane/surface. The edges may or may not be in the same topology. This shouldn't be rocket science. Went thru all the filters in the analysis > measure distance mode and no luck. It would be great if the analysis tool would allow you to snap to the midpoint of an edge when you activate the edge filter. Hint Hint PTCSo the only way I'm able to achieve such measurement is to create a sketch on a parallel plane/surface where I project the edges of interest as curves. I then add center construction lines and midpoint-constrain them to the projected curves. (get it? midpoint constrain?) I then add a ref dimension. I've added some screen shots to explain the scenario better.Is there a less rookie way to do this? I really want

I need to upgrade to i5/OS V7R1 and am in the planning stage.Currently MKS Implementer 2009 is running on V6R1 on the i5 and I was wanting to leave the Implementer upgrade until after the Operating System upgrade but obviously need to know if Implementer 2009 was supported for V7R1 or if I absolutely need to upgrade Implementer first.I've spent over an hour trawling through the PTC site to find the answer, with no luck so I hope you guys can help.

I received new models/drawings with the same file name as others on Windchill. I would like ot keep the file names/numbers the same becouse the new files are one revision higher. Ho w do I keep  the files names/numbers the same but with different Rev?

Creo 2 (m130)I am working with several parts that have cam slots and I want to provide a graph of cam angle vs. projected distance traveled (due to the way they were modeled, I cannot pull this info from the features directly).  Is this even possible in Creo?What I have done (in case I am going about this wrong):I created a field point on my projected curve for the cam path.I then created a plane through the axis of rotation and the field point.I created an analysis feature for angle of the plane to my vertical datum.I grouped the field point, plane, and analysis feature.I created a UDA that shows angle over traveled distance (relative distance 0-1).I created another field point on the same projected curve.I created an analysis feature for the distance from the field point to one end of the projected curve and projected the resulting distance on the axis of rotation.I created a UDA that shows projected distance over traveled distance (relative distance 0-1).I now have two features

Is there any way to set up Mathcad 15 or Mathcad Express to use comma (,) as a decimal separator, rather than dot (.) ?So 2.6 would be 2,6 and the like.. I live in Denmark where we use comma, rather than dot.I would love to be able to do this..Regards, Nick.

Hi,it is possible, to export a requirement document to word, change some requirements and(!) add new requirements in word and after then re-import all in Integrity?I'm playing with template 2009-WordExportTemplate-06-Reimport.docx  and OutlineLevels_Reimport.DSD.xslt.It works fine for changing requirements in word, but I cannot create new requirements in word.Any idea?thanks

Hello Everybody,A footer page is defined on Generated Contents tab of Arbortext Styler. Footer should contain an attribute conten valuet within the page. By selecting "Insert> Attribute Content" within "Generated Content" window, I can select the value based on the occurrence (1st,2nd,..., last) of the element. That's good but not enough for the customer requirement. The footer should show the greatest value of attributes within the page.So I write the statement: (//lep/@lep_date[not(. < //@lep_date)])[1]The statement selects max value of lep_date attribute of lep elements within an xml document.When I put this statement within ElementContentPage as shown on the image, the text could not be generated, and I don't see any error messages regarding it.When I put this statement within XPathString all footers show the same max value of lep_date within whole document. Hello gurus and amateurs So I'm creating different plugins for the editor in order to customize the functionality for my users; currently I'm looking a way for lock the menu bar when I create a new window, the option for create my customized window is inside a menu I created in the menu bar of Arbortext Editor, however if the window was created and someone clicks again the option, a new window will be created, so they are duplicated, I don't want to create a complete validation for this case since the window all it does is to load a report inside the document opened in editor, so I though in the option of locking the menu bar.
