I am a little confused with the rehosting guide on the adapter. On page 122 under target.adapter.name, it says "The adapter on the target system takes its name from name of the adapter on the source system. Specify the source system name in this rehosting property."So if my adapter name is the following: com.<company_network>.<source_server>.Windchill, will my target.adapter.name.1=com.<company_network>.<source_server>.Windchill or do I put in the target server name? If I leave the source name, when/how does that change?Their directions seem backwards to me with what everything else tells me to do in other sections for target.Thank you,Brian

Hello,I am trying to change one feature (for example holes) of a part with respect to a feature of another part in Creo 2.0 assembly. I used the reference pattern to do that. I then used family tables to change the dimensions of the feature of one part expecting the other part to change automatically. This process works for Generic models but not for the instances created in family tables. Can anybody suggest me the correct procedure to get the result? In WF you were able to get a partial length from one location to another. Where did our friends from PTC move this measurement capability.I can only get the entire wire's length. Hi Guys,   I want to bend the solid into a cylinder.So i use the warp feature in creo but I am not able to achieve the bend completely. To all I am looking for the mathcad syntax to carry out the rotation of multiple vectors through a range of angle (from 0deg to 90 deg).I have a number of vectors containing 3 values (Nx,Ny,Nz) given in a reference co-ordinate system (fixed) (subscript ac)A local co-ordinate system (subscript ‘) is definedI am attempting to write the operation of rotating the local co-ordinate by angle theta (around Xac axis) to get the new vector values (in thelocal co-ordinate) - for each vector and through the whole range of angle.I am struggling a bit with the syntax required and any help would be appreciated. Hi Guys,I have an assembly eg. "X" and within the assembly there is one more assembly eg. "Y" and I need to assemble this assembly at variable angles.Now the assembly "X" will be used in a new upper level assembly eg. "Z".I am using multiple nos of assembly "X" into assembly "Z" but the placement angle of assembly "Y" subjected to variable in every case. Hi all   Just having my first look at the recipe files for exporting to Creo View Express but I cannot start the rcpedit.exe tool.   I get the DOS prompt error as attached.   I am running Creo 2.0 m150 on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop.   Anybody have any suggestions?   I have tried copying and running the rcpedit.exe from the location listed in the error but to no avail.   Regards,   Neal

We are working off a network file structure. When retrieving most assemblies, part files are pulled via search_paths from multiple directories. In Creo 2.0 when saving a file in part mode a dialog pops up showing the file to be saved, but also the directory the file came from. In Creo 3.0 the file just saves with no dialog box. Been banging my head on the wall long enough. We installed the Golf_Cart example files but it only contains WT Parts. No CAD geometry. Is this strange or is it me? Any ideas why or how this would have happened?Other Parts that were created new in Windchill and had the option to "Create a CAD file" contain both CAD Parts and Parts.

Hi All ,Here is my problem, First i will start with my pc configuration:CPU: Athlon X4 VGA: some radeon card with 1gb DDR5Ram: 8GB DDR3SSD hard driveSo i am using Creo 3.0 and the problem is that when i enter the sketch and try to move the view around the planes(whit middle button of the mouse) it didnt refresh and all i see is a lot of lines. the problem exist only when i am in the sketch. Simplified, I have an assembly of a wheel hub with two tapered roller bearing cones assembled internally and that sitting on a plate. I have run a static analysis with the plate fixed and applying bearing loads on the cones (perpendicular to the hub axis).The results look as expected. Then I took the assembly, replaced the hub with a slightly different one and am trying to rerun the analysis HOWEVER, results look like the cones are not being bonded (the default interface setting) to the hub. Results show the cone deforming right thru the hub and the hub stress almost nonexistent. I do not see any failures in the assembly and I have walked thru all my contraints and loads to verify nothing has been "lost" in the hub replacement. Oddly, the bonded joint between the hub and the plate appears to be functioning just fine. Anyone have any idea what's gone wrong? What would the replace have done? I have two arrays I want to use with a find function. I'm having difficulty getting it to work. Any easy advice? See the clip of the spreadsheet below. The arrays are "t" for plate thickness and "a" for the plate radius. As you can see the definition is just passing through the find function. Hello, Is there a way to prevent SI to ask for credentials in command line interface (batch file) when the user is already logged in MKS Integrity??This is the case: ComputerA:from a CMD window, using a batch file, the user runs the si command: si viewsandbox --fields workingrev --filter file:filenameResult: filename is retrievedComputerB:same steps but in this one the Result is to insert "user" and "password"In both computers, the user is logged in using MKS Integrity Client. My questions is why in ComputerB "si" is asking for credentials?? is it a configuration? How could I avoid it? New Change Notice on a CAD part file gives me the following error: You do not have create permission for this object.Checking the Method Server log, I see: No Lifecycle template could be found for the wt.change2.WTChangeOrder2I have gone back through the OIRs and the Team settings to be sure they have the proer roles.Where else do I need to look to resolve this issue?It does not give me this error on the development system using the OOTB OIR/Workflow, etc.The OIR and Workflow on the production side are copies of the OOTB ones and then some modifications, mostly in the OIR to the names of the Lifecycle, Team and folder location.

Hello,I am using the ODESOLVE to simulate an RLC circuit. My states are my inductor current IL and capacitor voltage VC.I setup equations to solve for d(IL)/dt, and d(VC)/dt, and used ODESOLVE to get the values. I now need access to the original differential variables....I need access to d(IL)/dt to get my inductor current. Any ideas on how to? In MATLAB I could setup a global variable, but I am unable to define variables that use my states in the solver block.Screenshot of odesolver attached, I need access to IL(t)'

I need to add rich text to a text field via a trigger. If the field already has rich text in it then it'll work fine (mostly). If the field is blank, it displays the HTML instead. Am I doing something wrong?

I have 2 users, on different shifts, that need to use the same computer. An error/warning pops up when attempting to register the server for the second user. It is regarding the cache being registered to another user. What do I need to do to allow multiple users on one computer and not affect the other users workspaces?

We are trying to insert a column in the "My Tasks" table. Specifically, we want the column to list the previous owner of each task. The current owner would be able to see who sent them the task. I thought that the item called "predecessor" or "modified by" would work. Both column options are blank. Is there another option? Does this require customization?

We upgraded to AE 6.1 last week. Since then, users have noticed that their screens scroll downwards after they paste content into the xml. Does anyone know what causes the screen to scroll down? Any suggestions as to how this can be fixed?
