Hi!Currently, I'm working in a people counting project.As a start, I want to make a program where given this image of a group of coins:one can authomaticaly count how many coins are there in the image.With some matrix manipulation, I've issolated the coin borders:And now I want to know if someone can help me in counting how many of these round blobs is there in my image. That is, the program that I want to create must tell me: "there is 10 objects in the image"Any ideas?thanks.

While trying to install Prime 3.1, the license pack generator asks to install Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 or higher. What is this and is it necessary to use Prime 3.1?

According to an error we are getting, our licenses for Creo 2.0 Expired on Feb 26th, which was a little weird, as I myself have been in Creo for past few days, with no problem. As a result, we are trying to download the new Creo 3.0, but running into an error when trying to download the new software. We are getting a "An Irreversible Error has occurred." That's it. All we can do is then exit the download manager. Has anyone else run into this problem? How do we fix it to download the new version?Thanks

Hello,Validation team added a new revision of a file which originally had the .xls extension.Now, revision 1.6 has the same name but extension .xlsm.The problem is that the revisions with extension .xls (1.1 to 1.4) cannot be opened anymore.Any hints on how to solve this?Thank youCristina

Dear Community,I would like to add a tab to a presentation template showing additional (graphical) information for the specific item.The Template only allows static URL for the image address. Is there any chance to make the adress to the image dynamic. In other words a specific address for each item ID?To make thins clearer:Item ID 12001image adress: www.myfancygraphics.com/12001.jpgItem ID 12002image adress: www.myfancygraphics.com/12002.jpgBackground: we would like to render a few graphics showing complex relationships etc. We would render these images with nightly job, and load them into the items.Any creative ideas how to solve this issue? This follows on the discussion I initiated about WC10.0. Was replied to that the functionality had been restored in WC10.1 M020. Well we're now on 10.1 M050 and the functionality still is not - repeat NOT - there. The paragraph below is from my reply to that discussion.   So if it was included in 10.0 M050 why doesn't it work in 10.1 M050?????? Did they remove it again? There is a help page but what it says does not work. There is NO right click point that brings up a "Save As New User" option. Line one of the Saving As a New User states: "Select Save As New User from the right-click actions menu of an existing user within the Participant Administration table." Right click actions menu? If that means to right click on the actions pull down why doesn't it say that? But even so all that happens is a standard windows set of options. I basically need to use an admin account to check if a user has access to projects by running a script.Project access has been set through ACLs, but user's have been added to groups, and those groups added to the ACLs, so the viewacls command doesn't give me information for a specific user.

Hi,I'm doing a standard planetary gear system analysis (pictured), however when verifying the results I find my planetary gear speed is coming up as 378 deg/sec when by hand calculations it should be 270 deg/sec. However what I did notice while writing this is that the given answer of 378 deg/sec - 108 deg/sec (the mechanisms calculated arm rotation) = 270 deg/ sec. So I think my measurement is adding the rotation of the arm and the rotation of the planetary gear, otherwise that's a huge coincidence.For the measurement I have chosen Type->Velocity and for the Motion Axis as one of the rotation axes that the pin joint connects the planetary gear.So my question is; does anyone know how to measure the local rotational velocity of the planetary gear (assuming that it's not a coincidence)? Hello !I've renamed a few components and Creo 2 won't regenerate the assembly. Can you hide revisions/iterations from users that are not released? We have internal development that we do not need users to see until a new product is released.

One of the designers here is having an issue saving a copy and I have been unable to find a solution to the problem. When he tries to save a copy of an assembly and rename the parts he gets an error(see image). If he tries to save a copy of the subassembly containing the part it works fine or of he just saves a copy of the part here is no problem. We are using Creo 2.0 with no data management system (I've been working on that since the day I got here). I have made separate parts fortabletoptablelegtablesiderailtableendrailWhen I try to do an assembly, I start with the tabletop. It sets itself to Automatic. If I click on Default it immediately becomes fully constrained and I cannot add any other parts to the assembly.If I leave it on Automatic, its status says no constraints.Then if I add a leg and put in 3 constraints to position it at a corner, it allows me to do it.Then if I try to add another leg it already has constraints on it, but 1 of them will be wrong.Question 1.Why does it not work when I choose Default position for the table top? Apparently every aspect of every cell, field, value etc. has to be set manually and one-at-a-time. Is there anyone who can tell me a 21st century way of creating/editing these presentations/templates/items?

Hi all, I recently upgraded to creo 3.0 from creo 1.0. I have some complex assemblies that I use to be able to view, but now that I load the model, I get an explosion of color. I'm confused by this. Creo2, M120 We are not big users of annotations except for the occasional 3D note to bring dimensional or parameter info on screen in a model.  in the past, we used the old 3D note feature and we had a rule based layer in our start part that found those notes and turned them on and off as needed.  The rule on that layer was this: Look for: NoteLook by: noteName == * That worked great and gathered up the notes ad let us hide them. in Creo 2, we now have to create an anotation feature wiht a note inside.  the note still ends up on the layer, but nothing will make the note go away.  I've tried other rules with the same results: Look for: FeatureLook by: AnnotationName == * Look for: FeatureLook by: FeatureType == Annotation Feature All get the annotation feature on the layer, but hiding the layer does nothing to make the note go away. What am I missing?  How can control the visibility of a 3D note with layers?This thread is

I would like to add code to the transitions tab in a workflow that would check to make sure the WTdoc used to initiate the workflow is checked in. If it is not I would like an exemption (pop up) to show telling the user to check in the doc.Does anyone have code they can share?Greg

Hi everyone,I need help for a really simple question, I bellieve, concerning the units in a spectrogram, that in turn comes from a fft function. I refer to the example to be found in QuickSheets "WAV-Files, Spectrograms and Signal Generation" (under Engineering Applications). Since I am not very confident with signal analysis, I have always problem to interpret the units in the frequency axis of an fft. In this example Quicksheet (also attached), the frequency axis is vertical as usual for spectrograms. But how can I know which frequency corresponds to the index of the plot?For example: here I have 256 samples and the rows of "spectra" are 129. How do I convert this 129 in Hz? Which frequencies dominate in the signal in the first two seconds?Here under I have now, as a test, only the half of the samples (128). The index is now 65. How do I convert this 65 in a frequency in Hz?I can see that there is a proportionality, and that it must depend on the sampling rate and maybe on the total

Hi all,I'm faced with an issue concerning our Arbortext Editor extension which is written in Java and uses JavaFX 2 for its UI.My issue is that I need to have jfxrt.jar in the classpath in order for this to work.Since this jar is part of the runtime since at least Java 1.7 I thought I needed to do nothing to work with the classes defined in this jar, but AE is not seeing them. When I manually add the jar to the classpath usingAPTCLASSPATH=D:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor\bin\x86\jre\lib\jfxrt.jarThen I can use them.Is this expected behaviour ?If so is there a way to add it programmatically ?I would need to retrieve the Installation path of Arbortext Editor in ACL in order to be able to do this.I tried "set classpath" and "append_java_classpath", but both did not work.Any ideas ?René

All,   We would like to turn off the PTC Intelligent Fastener option for all of our users because we need them to use hardware from our specific library. Hi everyone,   I'm trying to model a sheet metal part with a complex flange around its perimeter. The perimeter is curved and there are a lot of relief cuts in the part. The picture shows the part and the tool that is is formed on. I already have the flat pattern geometry including the flange. I've tried the 'Bend' command, but it will not work on curves--only straight lines. I've also tried making a die form (basically the inverse of the real tool with a recess in a block of material. I can't get this to work either--I think it is because it is bending around the perimeter that it won't work, but I'm not totally sure. The only other thing I can think of is trying to use the 'Flange' tool around a continuous perimeter, then unbend, then add the relief cutouts, and then rebend. This will be a lot more work, though--especially when I've got about 25 of these parts. Does anybody have an suggested approaches?     Thank you!This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Commu
