Hello everyone,this is my first post here.How can I use "Given/Find" in this situation (see my file) to find e(s) and k(s) (which are functions, not exact values)?The problem is a beam made of two glued materials (iron and copper), embedded at one end, loaded with a load P (down, positive y) at the other:I have to find the distribution of "sigma zz" (z is the axis of the beam), for which e(s) and k(s) are needed.However I think mine is just a problem of calculus, so even non-engineer could help.

Can someone refresh my memory. I need to relate a copied group back to the feature that created it and can't remember how. Hi!I am plotting the angular difference between the input and output shaft (beta) of a universal joint at an angle (alpha).How can I get the maximum value of the function beta? Hi,I have an assy model which gives me the warning: ASSEMBLY CUT is entirely outside the model; model unchanged.I can't seem to find the assy cut in my model tree (quite large). When using the OOTB customize option to edit the My Tasks table view I can't find the column for priority. Since every tasks have priority I need to show that as a column.But I can't seem to add the column for priority to the table view.Someone help me out in this.

Hello,For a while back I've created an assembly and annotation drawing in creo express 4 and saved it as a bundle. Because I've had some problems with my computer I decided to re-instal Windows 7 (64). Now I've installed Creo Express 6 and I've modified the assembly and want to update the annotation drawing. When I'm trying to save it as a bundle I'm getting an error:Then I klick 'OK' and get this massage: I've googled this and the only topic on this issue is this one:http://communities.ptc.com/thread/36422Unfortunally there is not realy an awnser to the problem. Does anyone have the solution? I have a full license the entire suite, all software work well. I think when I start schematics 2.0 says: unable to obtain license for Creo schematics. I just think schematics 3.0 works, but I need the 2.0.

I was trying to simplify a calculation, and the symbolic processor returned a response with this function. The symbollic answer lists four arguments then will not evaluate or even recognize the function. (See attached.) Other references have four arguments, the MatLab web page says MuPad lists 3.Anyone have a numerical evaluation?

I would like to add the angle sysmbol (∠) as an element in the Custom Character menu in MCAD 15. Is this possible, and if so how can I do so?

Hello all,in short: What all should be included in Windchill parts catalog?l´m absolutly sure about:- start parts- formats (*.FRM)- standardized parts (screw, washer...)Up to now we have worked without Windchill and we have used "shared unit" W:Creo_setup as a storage place of our company standards. Hello all, our company is implementing Windchill and l wanna ask you about drawing exports. Our saint rule in WCH is: EACH FILE ONLY ONCE! Hi there,   I' ve got an odd problem. I made an assembly and added several components. With one component I tried to use "Set Representation to..." in combination with combined views. But it did not worked as wanted, so I deleted all custom combined views and set SimpRep to Master. So far so good.   The party started, when I tried to make a BOM with a Web.Link script. The script works that way, that it list all components and counts them. The BOM by script shows me a additional component, which I used to do the combined views testing and which I deleted from the assembly afterwards that testing. The BOM by Creo's own "Tools" -> "Investigate" -> "BOM" is correct.   When I dig a little deeper and use Model Info for the assembly, I get this interesting screen shot attached to this question.   So how could I get rid of this not-listed-component?   BTW, I use Creo 2.0 M110This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I'm getting an undefined variable error when trying to plot a pair of functions to draw a circle.I can however get the individual expressions to plot if I don't use them as part of a functionso Mathcad is able to access all the values.I'm guessing it has something to do with the way I've used them in the functions.I have rearranged them a couple of different ways and it will change which variableit sees as undefined but that is all.I know there are other ways to draw a circle in Mathcad but this one has it charms forwhat will be included in the worksheet later.Thanks.

Does anyone know if it is possible to include Attributes that are defined on a Classification Node via PartsLink into the available attributes for Advanced Search?We have a need to Classify Parts in the system. A given Part would get associated to a Classification Node and then have values set on attributes defined on that NODE.The desire would be to use ADVANCED SEARCH to be able to find a specific type of Part that is associated to a specific classification node and be able to search for a combination of attributes that have been defined to that part type as well as the attributes that have been defined for the classification that the part is a member of.As a second part of this, I would also like to know if there is a way to introduce other Search Operators such as GREATER THAN, LESS THAN, BETWEEN etc... Currently I believe it is only possible to do an EQUAL, NOT EQUAL or CONTAINS type search.If it is possible to do this, is it a supported configuration at PTC?Thanks in AdvanceEd

I'm having an issue with the emailAdvanced.js script in a rule based trigger.A rule is established to determine when the trigger would fire. The "Post" box is checked. In the "Field Names" box I have "Assigned Group" checked. My problem is the people in those groups are not receiving the email. When I add or remove users to a group it is like they do not update because the new users do not recieve the email and the users removed often receive the email. This one has stumped me for days. This is extremely frustrating. I've been working on this project for almost 2 years. I'm putting it into production and this issue stops it dead in its tracks. Please.... somebody HELP!!

Suppose I define a custom function foo with parameters (A,B,C,D) but I want to give the user the option of calling it with only A and B and handling the absence of C and D gracefully in some way. Is it possible to write a test that checks to see if C and D are specified, or will the call return an error in any case where all parameters are not given?
