I want to create a model relation that will control a parameter based on the length of a part. For example IF LENGTH_1 = 255 thru 305 then MAKE_FROM = 12 FOOT. Is there a way to get that to work? Hi,The scenario is this. I checkout an obeject/file but I didn't do anything, after that I checkin the object/file and the version is added.can somebody expalin to me why the version added if I didnt modify anything?. It makes me confused. Thanks in advanced!

Is anyone aware of any command sequence other than CTRL+A to shift focus to the graphics window in Creo? The CTRL+A sequence closes any dialogue boxes (e.g. find tool etc.). I am in need of a method to shift focus to the graphics window or an alternate method which will keep the dialogue boxes open while enabling the execution of commands via mapkeys. I am looking for a direct command call that does not require use of the mouse to activate the graphics window. This is all in the context of creating and nesting mapkeys.   One can pick the window with LMB but that does not seem very robust to me to record such a LMB and use it in mapkeys.     What I am attempting to implement is the following via an automated mapkey sequence. I am using the mapkey recorder and calling existing mapkeys when creating this sequence.   1) Create a feature 2) Place this feature on a layer by using select last feature functionality in the find tool   The focus issue arises when calling

I have tried several times to produce a sweep that has multiple chains within the sweep command and have been successful. As shown by the following image:   When trying to create the same type of sweep using two cylinders, one extruded higher than the other but both extruded from the same datum plane, I cannot get it to work. I am sure there are config settings influencing the speed and performance of larger assemblies and drawings that we don't really required at certain times. I hope to find, or compile a list of settings influencing performance, especially calling up large assemblies and drawings, manipulating them, and also other performance issues I don't think about right now. I recently put MathCAD 15.0 on my laptop. When I go to open MathCAD files created from my other computer (files created with MathCAD 15.0), the imported objects such as an excel header/footer are shrunk and the embedded autocad images are scattered. Even the right boundary page line seems out of place. In other words when I go to open the Mathcad files on my laptop, the display is different than what I'm getting on my other computer. The display on my laptop is not right. It's frustrating b/c I have many Mathcad files/templates created and they don't appear correct on my laptop. I could try re-sizing everything to fit nicely on my laptop screen, but that would take hours if not days to update all my files. Any ideas? I'm not at all a computer wiz, so I'm needing some help. Does this have anything to do with Adobe reader?Thanks

We have a server that has an Intralink 3.4 installation that is going to be decommissioned and I need to export that data before its lost. There is only one user left working at the company and they do not have admin rights with their login.When we implemented PDM Essentials (of course we didn't include migration), we were given some "standard" logins for Windchill admnin, Organization admin, Librarian, etc. So I am hoping that was SOP for Intralink as well and somebody here knows what they are.

Hallo zusammen,im augenblick habe ich irgendwie ein Brett vr dem Kopf.Selbst die beigelegte Onlinehilfe gibt mir keinen Aufschluß.Ich habe mehrere 3D-Kurven (Geraden und Bögen), die ich zu einer Flächeformen möchte.Ich schaffe es nicht eine Verbindungslinie zwischen den auf verschiedenen Ebenenliegenden 3D-Kurven aufzubauen, geschweige eine Fläche zu erzeugen.Ich bevorzuge Express 4.0, kann aber auch mit Express 6.0 arbeiten.Zum Verständniß lege ich 2 Bilddateien und die Expressdatei bei.Mit Gruß Werner

We just upgraded from PDMLink 10.1 M040 to 10.1 M050 this past weekend.I have one user that said in M040 you could right-click on a link in the Version History table of a CAD file and the menu would display an option to Open in Creo View. Now in M050 it's not there.Can anyone confirm that was there in M040? If so why would PTC remove that? And why remove it BETWEEN BUILDS?

Hi Creo 2.0 users,Since we upgraded to Creo 2.0 we have the following problem. sometimes when we try to start Creo the application does not start. If we look into the task manager we then always see that one CPU core is running at 100% (a dual core says CPU load is 50% a quad core says 25% a.s.o.) used by xtop.exe. The RAM used by xtop.exe is always within a certain rance between 45.000K and 51.000K. This differs slightly from workstation to workstation and from case to case but it does not differ very much.Sometimes we just need to start Creo a 2nd time (with the same configuration) and it starts well, sometimes it needs other tricks to get it running. What we have found so far is that sometimes if we just start with another License (e.g. CreopParametrick with AAX instead of plain CreoParametric) Creo starts successfully. Sometimes we need to tamper with the enviroment variable Pro_Lang. On some computers we need to set these variable to an invalid value in order to get Creo starting.

I am using the 3D annotation tool in Creo 2.0, and I am having trouble changing the tolerance on ordinary dimensions. When I view the dimension's properties, the Tolerance mode is set to "Nominal" and is grayed out. I cannot change it symmetric, +/-, or anything else.
