HiI've just got an assignment in school, where I've to determine the design factor 'z' to a given failure probability.This baisically means that I have to find the lowest value of beta (vector containing of u values) that in combination with design parameter z gives an failure function which is equal to zero.Want to make a loop which can check for all values of z in the interval of 1 and 7. Is that possible?

We are cleaning up things from a company domain change. All emails changed from "@oldname.org" to "newname.org". We are running 12.0.2.8 with OpenDJ as the user LDAP. It was a fairly simple change to update the email addresses in the LDAP. I exported the DB to an ldif, did a mass replace for that email domain and reimported. I verified with the control panel that change was correct, emails domains were updated.   Issue comes with Windchill where the old email is still shown. No problem as I figured this was a caching issue. PTC has a number of articles on this. Hello All,in KepServerEX6 I created a channel to get data from an SQL database.I created a Device for a table and it was not able to populate the tags automatically, like the previous two tables I created on that channel seemed to do. If I did something differently, I can't figure out what that is. The setup is the same as the other two.The error it returned when finishing the new device was:  "Unable to generate a tag database for <MY DEVICE>:Automatic tag generation for device <MY DEVICE>' refused due to active client connections"I read another topic which had the same error. The suggestion was to 'Close all OPC client connections to the device and retry Automatic Tag Generation' Another topic said to create a new channel but I'm hoping to keep this table on the same database channel, to preserve the same organization between SQL and Kepware.  My question is, how do I 'Close all OPC client connections to the device and retry Automatic Tag Gen

I have a requirement to provide a method of cloning/duplicating an existing problem report for purposes of dividing the original listed problems into separate problem reports. Ideally, we would clone the Problem Report (maybe multiple times) and update the problem descriptions accordingly.I've seen the ability to clone CAD objects (Save As) within Windchill but no such capability for any other object types. Does someone have suggestions on how I could meet this requirement?We are using Release 12.0.2.12 with PLMlink 12.0.2.7.     

I have a table with a repeat region for a BOM with materials masses and COG information. The COG is being reported from the part level and is according to the part default CSY. We recently upgraded from Creo 6 to Creo 8.0.7.0.  The cabling option is missing on the Applications tab.  How do I get the cabling option activated in Creo 8.   Thanks  

If I have a Repeat Region BOM, when I place it on an assembly drawing it uses rpt.qty to tally all the quantities. I also have a unit column that is set to EA by default. In certain instances, I have a dumb part in my assembly with a hydraulic hose part number attached to it. But if I set my units to FT instead of EA and manually type in (8) in my quantity field in the part, the repeat region has no way of seeing this and since their is only one instance of it in my assembly, the Repeat Region BOM will say 1 ft? Is their a way I can tell the Repeat Region that when the Unit Column is not set to EA, that it needs to read the quantity from the part file. Which I already have set to 8?  

I have a cheat sheet of beam equation, all expressed as functions of variables such as w, P, l, etc. The challenge arises when I apply it to compute load combinations, as the beam equation becomes visually convoluted. A reviewer would only see a series of functions, necessitating them to backtrack through calculations to identify the specific function in use. An alternative is to redefine my input variables (w, P, l, etc.) and directly solve the beam formula without using functions, essentially copying the equation. However, this becomes cumbersome due to the need to clear variables for each subsequent equation. Is there a method to explicitly solve my functions and revert them to the original equation?   

Hi all, I'm still new to causing mayhem in PDMLink, but....I wanted to test the Design Review feature on an item (WTPart for example), and it all works fine as admin, but as a Regular Joe with decent access in a Product, I get an access error.I've checked the ACL, it's set up OoTB (see attached pic). AFAIK, no good help to be found from PTC pages such as this one. Note, Windchill is v. 12.0.2 over here, not 12.1., if that's possibly relevant as it may be according to CS340005..

Migrated thingworx application from version ThingWorx 9.1.0-b10877 to ThingWorx 9.3.4-b1190. Problem occurs when Advanced grid migrated with Rowselection attribute as Multiselect As per older version there is no checkbox and row can be clicked to multiselect.But now,we need to click on checkbox to select the row.Is it possible to achieve the same as old Advanced grid in new thingworx version?If so, please suggest me

Anyone using publish.copyrepresentationsforward.part.restrict=false in their wvs.properties file?   The default value for this property is to be the same as publish.copyrepresentationsforward.restrict, which is how it is set in my system.   When wt.parts with CAD associations are iterated in the commonspace, a new representation is not created upon check in. This leaves many wt.parts w/o a representation due to the attribute, structure, replacement or link changes in Windchill that are not associated with the CAD application.   I could schedule a publish job for the various containers, but I am curious if anyone is using this setting and having success with it? It sounds like the right solution, but I am always hesitant to change a property w/o testing and some confirmation from others. Hello Everyone, I have an issue with Creo regarding 2d drawing. I can create and do my 2d drawing without issue. BUT... when I want to re-open my 2d drawing, it does not open and complain that the PART (.prt) template is not in the same directory: Of course, my template is not in my working folder. The templates are on a shared folder. If I copy the template .prt to my folder, I can solve the issue on open it... but it's not really convenient. The goal was to have all template on a shared folder so everyone can access to it when creating a new file. Thank you for your help
