Is there a way to set a limit to the Step-file importer in Creo? My problem is, we have still some users in the company, ignoring our internal instructions to not import stepfiles with the size larger than 50-100 MB.

HiThis is my first post on this forum, thanks for any help! For changing a part in an subassembly in an assembly I am using the set state function from "released" to "in work" and this is working well. However, for the collector I would like to collect all affected assemblies "upstream" and use set state on these as well in the same operation. I have a button named "collect upstream equivalent part", but it seems locked by a setting and nothing happens when I click this button. Is the function of this button according to wanted solution? Where do I activate this button? This option should only be valid for administrator and should be set under "my preferences" then logged in as admininstrator? BR Arild  

We've just updated from Creo Parametric 6 to 8 and I'm having issues with placing symbols on my drawing. In Creo 6, when inserting a symbol, there was an option to place it In Free Space or On Entity or On Vertex. I could use the On Vertex option to place the symbol on a datum point. I can't seem to find this option any longer in Parametric 8. The option for referencing a datum point seems to have vanished.

I also tried this one here CS267362  and i wanted to set the links = 0 but i do not get any results with that. Anyone who could help me with this?  

Hello all, I believe I am suffering from a similar problem to a previous post; Solved: Mathcad Prime worksheet Running Slow Compared to M... - PTC Community I have a legacy calculation converted from Mathcad 15 that is mathematically very simple but approximately 170 pages long and as you will see from the attached is butchering my cpu.  The aforementioned Prime calculation is consequently running painfully laggy and occasionally crashing.   Does anyone have any recommendations on a sensible procedure for processing such conversions that goes beyond the standard PTC Mathcad Migration guide? For example, is it advantageous to break the calculation up into areas and disable them etc... @VladimirN , @terryhendicott 

Making some calculations with MathCAD I got an error such as: Unknown error: A call target threw an exception.Is there some stack trace which I could investigate to comprehend the situation? Thanks in advance. 

Hi, I have a few problems understanding ims api documentation. I want to ask you how to :1. Create a new/empty Test Case 2. Link created Test Case to a Test Suite3. Hi, there I have converted my JSON object to string (by means of the .parse) so that I could split the values. Now I want to update my thing properties with the values from my JSON object.This JSON object and the thing properties are all on one thing. I only managed to update the value at [0] index. When I try index [1] or higher, it throws an error.Could you direct me if this issue has been solved already or any suggestions on how to achieve the updating of thing properties with the respective json values? Much appreciated.

On starting ThingWorx and InfluxDB instance simultaneously QueryNamedPropertyHistory service is giving below error:Execution error in service script [QueryNamedPropertyHistory] :: com.thingworx.common.exceptions.DataAccessException: [1,018] Data store unknown error: [Error occurred while accessing the data provider.] After running the ConnectDataSource service in the Persistence Provider configured to connect with InfluxDB the issue gets resolved. But with every instance start, the issue is reoccurring. Also if the InfluxDb instance is started ahead of ThingWorx this issue does not occur.Has anyone faced a similar issue?Any inputs would be very helpful.

We are on the System i (aka AS/400) using Implementer. We are transitioning from defining our physical and logical files using DDS to using SQL DDL to define SQL Tables and Views. I would like to get some thoughts and opinions from other users of Implementer that are using SQL DDL as to how they structure their SQL DDL script source members within Implementer and promote them through their various environments?Any input/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm trying a new project for eye wear. 1) I have inserted the 3D panel and placed three 3D buttons on it. (Button A, Button B and Button C)2) When I click button A, it should play the animation of the model and has to show the description (3D image) of the product. 3D panel should hide. 3) When I close description( 3D image), 3D panel has to display. So same thing has to apply for all three 3D buttons. How to write a code for this. @tmccombie @kmcgee 

Hi there! I have been trying to post a sample project and the following error comes: Uh-oh! Publish Failed. Permissions denied uploading the project" I already followed this step-by-step (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS268110).The users I´ve been using are all under Developers group  and have Read Permissions for Resources Collection in Design Time. I also tried using the Admin and it also didn´t work. This users were created 2 years ago and used to work. Can somebody help me? Best Regards!Teresa

I need to move my users to a new OU in AD, Our current Windchill installation uses AD to authenticate the users using an LDAP adapter. Using Info*Engine I have changed the Search base value in the current adapter to reflect the new OU in AD and ran the ​ant -f webAppConfig.xml regenWebAppConf command from the Windchill shell, however when I move my users to the new OU they cannot login to Windchill. I must be missing some steps to get this working, any help would be appreciated    

Creo 4.0, license server FlexNet LM version 11.17.   Currently, at our site, we have a license for the Simulate application (module?), under the "MECELITE_UI_License" and "MECELITE_ENG_License" names. At another site, they have licenses for Creo, but not for the Simulate items above. Since we do not use the Simulate license very often, it was felt it would be more cost effective to share our licenses with the group at the other site, rather than buying yet another seldom-used license. The problem is, although the other group is able to obtain licenses from our pool of available licenses, they are unable to run the Simulate application. It does not work for them insisting that they do not have a license, etc. In the past, when I had troubles with Creo Simulate licenses, I had to manually edit the "feature.dat" to "tell" Creo what license to look for when attempting to run the program. I provided instructions to the folks at the other site as to how to do this, but it doesn't seem t

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0I am working on a spring pin connection to a pcb device. There are two cases in question an both applies this problem the first is when perfect alignment to the via hole occurs. For this case deformation should occur on the edges that the pin contacts the pc yet instead of that overlapping between both assemblies occurs. On the other case the alignment is not with the via but instead only on the plating (similar to an indentation process ) but the pin tip also instead of penetrating and deforming the surfaces the results show overlapping once again
