First off, I do not have the routed systems packages. I do limited work with components that are "per lenght" as opposed to "per each".   For this reason I have developed a custom BOM Table that uses PARAMETERS and RELATAIONS to populate a custom BOM_QTY.   IF EXISTS ("ASM_MBR_BOM_QTY") BOM_QTY=asm_mbr_bom_qty ELSE BOM_QTY=rpt_qty ENDIF   For each component that I wish to quantify by lentgth, the BOM_QTY parameter is set by a relation in the model (i.e. BOM_QTY=d0).   I use the FLEXIBILITY (varied items) for such components so that the component legth can be dictated for each assembly.   The BOM_QTY value shown for such components in the BOM TABLE (Repeat Region) will reflect this "flexibility".   This part is working well.   The dilema is that we work in both Metric (mm) and English (in). Hello guys,   I have a customer request and I think it is quite common but I'm struggling to advice him on what to do: How to manage deformable components in Windchill ?   They use Catia connected to Windchill PDMLink and they want to manage certain types of deformable components (harnesses or strings for example) in their several representations (starting position, compressed position, released position) under a unique Part Number.   I was thinking that it could be handled only with representations attached to the WTPart but I'm not sure that it would be enough.   How would you manage this in Windchill ?   Tnkas in advance for your feedback.   Regards, Florent

I am incorporating mass as a defined variable a mechanism force analysis and I keep getting an error that the value needs to be a vector. The file is below. What can I do to fix this issue?

I am using MathCAD Prime 2.0 for design calculations for a building I am engineering. I am fairly new to MathCAD, only learning a little about it in college. However, I am running into a units issue when calculating pounds per linear foot (lb/ft) to just pounds (a point load). I am taking 480 PLF * 4 ft, the feet should cancel out and you are left with just pounds. MathCAD is spitting out a lb*f, like the units for a moment. When I go to change the units to just pounds then it changes my units to (ft/s^2)*lb? Please explain to me what is going wrong here. Does anyone know how to store data for at least a week or more? I need to make a history, but some important data of my PLC is only kept for a day, or a few hours, do you know how I can extend that time?

To all   Q : How is it that mathcad 15 can solve a 3 unknowns , 2 equations problems? BackgroundI suspect I am overlooking something so obvious as to be embarrassing. I was writing down some “blocks” of stuff to figure out/decide how to set-up some syntax in mcad for a larger worksheet. Doing so I copied-and-pasted some equations from another worksheet and to my surprise mcad solve the problem i.e. I got number out! See attached This is based on static equilibrium Sum of force = 0 & sum of moments =0I added a 3rd equations (sum Fx=0) and mcad solve it too – fair enough I simply can’t quite get it – The issue is both math fundamental and understanding Mathcad. Hi all, I am new to MathCAD and i can just not figure out this bug.  I am trying to plot a chart for beam deflection on prime4. I am using an old mathcad15 sheet as a reference and the cad 15 sheet calculates it fin so this should work but I cannot figure out why it's giving me an error.       

Hi, Does calling rest API in ThingWorx work for multi session users? Because when multiple users hit same api url, we are facing errors. When we tried to hit the same url in browser by multiple users there were no error and we got the output properly. But when calling through ThingWorx, we are facing issues. Please let us know if there are any multi session limitation in ThingWorx?

Hi guys,    Lets say i have a part file called: N12345-2000.prt   It is stored as a parameter called rel_model_name   I would like to take this parameter, and remove the first 7 characters of the name.    So I could now have this new parameter (lets call it "detail") which would just be 2000 in my parameters.   Is this possible?    Thanks, Jay

Can Windchill 11.1 installed in Microsoft Windows Server 2012, be used with ThingWorx 9.0 Installed in Microsoft Windows Server 2016. My Question is can ThingWorx and Windchill connect irrespective of installed locations( i.e. one in cloud, one in server) 

The example here is a simplification of an issue with a complex model. When using the fill pattern with curve grid type I am not able to evenly distribute points along a closed curve.   I have posted a sample model (Creo 4) with two pattern features spaced along the curve symmetrically about a symmetry plane. On the left is a dimension pattern which works fine and is based on the pattern leader being on the symmetry plane.   A measure feature is used to get the curve length and then a relation to calculate the spacing needed for distribution.   Using the fill pattern I can not replicate this desired distribution of points. I have tried alternate start points but it does not yield the desired result. Can anyone offer insight into why? Using a start point in the fill pattern that is on the mirror plane causes the next pattern member after the leader to be placed in the opposite direction of the subsequent members.   I have been able to use the fill pattern curve grid
