Hello Everyone,Please tell me How to create pdf of the Mathcad file?

I have an equation like det((-a^2)*M+S)=0, where M and S are matrices. How can I find the two solutions (the two roots) for a? It will be a biquadratic equation, and I need the two positive roots of the four. I've tried it with a solve block, but I could only one root calculated.  Thanks a lot!

When attempting to download Creo 3.0 student version, the "PTC Creo View Express" application is "unsuccessfully" downloaded and prevents the other applications from installing. I have had this issue 3-4 times now and have tried both the 32 and 64 bit versions. I am on a 64 bit windows 7 ultimate operating system. Any ideas on what the issue might be?

Hello,   The requirement is to create ApplicationKey and get its value from .net application.Don't want to add too much API level dependency on the .net application.So the REST call to create and access ApplicationKey could be an option.Is this possible and any related code/example?Thx.Vijay

I have a requirement to use ThingWorx to display the location of sensors on a 2D building map image. When the user clicks on a specific sensor point, a new mashup shall open to display properties relating to that particular sensor. I believe the only way to achieve this is to individually position navigation links over top of the building image.This does work fine, however, we have many sensors positioned across multiple building sites, and it becomes very tedious using the drag and drop methodology. I would like to know if there is a way to programmatically define the location, size and bindings for each navigation link. I am trying to create a model with an inheritance as the first feature after the base datums.  If I leave it as MERGE, it works fine.  If I change it to INHERITANCE, it fails.  I've attached the model I am trying to use for the inheritance.  I didn't try to vary any of the dimensions or make any other changes.  Just simply created the inheritance feature in a fresh empty model.  I tried with another part and it worked fine, so I don't think I am doing it wrong.  There must be an issue with the model but I don't know what it is.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I have installed PTC Creo on a virtual machine in Hyper V, Windows Server 2012 r2, and then I connect to the VM through Windows Remote Desktop. It works fine when I run it locally on the server but it won't work when I remotely connected to the VM.   Anyone that have had this problem and found a solution for it or doesn't exist a solution for the problem?   I've attached a picture of the failure down below.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. We currently are using Model Manager.  We have used Model Manager for years. It has a simple interface, parts can easily be found and we are used to it.   Management is encouraging us to move to WindChill.    What experience have other users had with WindChill?   What functionality can I expect?   Will I lose functionality?   Will parts and assemblies still load the same with the same icons for reserved and unreserved as model manger?   Will the BOM Module still work?   Thanks   TomThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi everybody.I'm using the Creo 2.0 Student version. Yesterday I installed Windows 10 on my computer (the previous operative system I had was Windows 7).Until yesterday Creo 2.0 was working; after the upgrade to Windows 10 I got this problem: License request failed for feature.I've already tried to do what written in http://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/support_reorder_network.pdf, but still I have this problem!Is it possible to solve it even if I have installed Windows 10? What's the solution??Thanks.

I've never run into the above titled message before.  Part of me wants to ignore this, but I'm worried about possible downstream issues.I do have the above listed SWEPT BLEND_1, but it was created entirely within the model I am building.  Why would I get a message saying that it was created entirely outside of the model?The only thing that I can think that would cause this is that I have within my model imported a STEP model and I am referencing a number of cross section curves in sketches.  As long as my model includes the STEP import I didn't foresee any issue.  Is this why I'm getting the above issue or is there perhaps another cause to the message?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi all,It was a surprise to note that only Documents under the Type "Reference Document" can be used in the Part to Doc relation called as "References Document".Why is this?I cant find any possibility with change this behavior using the Relationship Constraints.This means that when we design the document data model long before we start using Parts, we should decide whether it is going to be a "Reference document" or not?Sounds strange! or is there any way out?Basically, we want to be flexible in the way a document can be used --- as "Described by" document or as "References Document".Best RegardsHari

Currently, a DITA Map is basically shown like this, on the left: dita bookmap structure and on the right: the content (but only dita bookmap content and a link for topic).With the resolved view for edition, we can have the content of topics, but we loose the dita bookmap hierarchical structure (and its content):I would like to have in the same view (green blocks in the preceding illustrations), the dita bookmap structure on the left and the dita topic content resolved (for editing) on the right.  Is that possible () ?

Hello,   I'm attempting to create a sawtooth wave curve that is on a cylinder using the Curve:From Equation feature.  This requires the use of the floor() function which does not seem to work properly for some reason.  My equation is as below:   R = Constant Parameter equal to the cylinder OD THETA = 360*t z = .125*((t/20*360)-floor(t/20*360))   Z should give me an oscillating sawtooth wave of amplitude .125 with 20 total oscillations along the length of the curve if I am understanding it properly.  However no curve appears and the feature fails when attempting to build.  Even when I set the equation to z = floor(1) (which should give me a circle at z = 1) I get a failed curve.  I'm not sure what the issue is and why floor() seems to fail the feature.  In the parameters section underneath the the input window it will even list the value of Z as 1 when inputting floor(1) and the feature still fails.  Is there a setting that is the proble

Hi guys,I have a question for you. I'm working on one of my projects and I have to use the Family table. First of all, it is important to say, that I didn't prepare the model itself. Someone else made it, and I just have to connect all parts and prepare the Family table for them. I've added all necessary features, however the names of columns corresponding to them are not what I wanted. The problem is that I cannot change these names (cannot rename columns). Hi @all,in our changemanagement-datamodel we have an itemtype, which can have three different specifications depending on one field. As example: The item is a release-item, and a field "element" can switch the specification of the release-item between "module", "library" and "package". The item holds a relationship-field, and by this field we can build some kind of hierarchy: A Library can contain some packages and also some modules, but not another library. Its alway the head of this hierarchy. A package can contain other packages and also modules, and modules shouldnt contain any other item, because they are the smallest artefact in this hierarchy. The relationship-field can be configured to allow only specific item-types, but it cannot distinguish between the different specifications of the same item-type.So i want to do something like this: If a user tries to connect two items over this relationship-field, a trigger should look at both item-types and the "element"-field and decide
