Hi all,For a project I want to open a model that can be download from the "Creo Flow Analysis Beginners Tutorials" section (the Cyclone Separator) but I can not open because I have the student edition.Is there a way I can open it with my student edition or another file I can work with ? 

Is there a way I can automate the KepwareServer ex enable API configuration setting during install OR after silent install is complete ?. If there is a config file then I can write a script to update that setting and enable the Kepware API connection.  We have around 200 Kepware server's that we have to setup via automated scripts. It will be a very time taking job to use the UI to set the configuration API setting to Yes to all the serves Just to enable the config automation.    

I have the professional version of Mathcad Prime 8.   However, when I remote login to my PC Mathcad Prime runs in express mode (feature limited + has water mark across the page).   Is there a work around for this? I did notice that if I happen to have opened Mathcad Prime at my PC desk, and then remote login at a later time, Mathcad runs normally (no feature limitations or watermarks).    I just have to remember to start Mathcad Prime first - if I plan to remote login later.   Maybe there's a better way? 

I am working on a mashup and one of the things we would like to display is if a factory floor machine is up. We would like to determine this by pinging the IP address of the machine. We would also like to use this process to check the status for other devices that are on the factory floor. Is there any way to have a mashup ping an IP address? If so, where can I find information on how to do this. If not, what are some options people have used to try to determine if a machine / device is reachable?  I don't have much Thingworx experience and apologize if this is something that has been answered before. Thanks,John       

Hi All. My students and I have been getting some entertaining results with the solver arrow for the example problem below. With the "new" and "legacy" symbolic solver the results are somewhat "brittle" almost on par with the picture you get when playing with the ariels of an old-style TV set.  The correct answer should be about 0.0265.   For example a common result popping up for the NEW solver is this one (but the letters after the % can differ).  Note also that you can get the "Red Box of Shame™️" with some versions (the type of error in this case is highlighted. When using the legacy solver it can be more likely to behave and give the correct answer.  It also sometimes will give the correct answer but add a very negligible imaginary component.   Ideas her are welcome and PTC probably should give a prize for the most bizarre answer anyone can muster with this problem. Hi all, I'm testing the Store and Forward feature in KepserverEx. The idea was to test whether it is possible if the data stored in local disk whenever the connection between KepserverEx and Thingworx is down, can trigger a DataChange Event on Thingworx to execute a service once the connection is restored. The service is to process the raw data from Kepware and store it to our DB. To test the accuracy of the data, we also logged it using Value Stream in Thingworx. According to this article, this scheme should work. Based on our test, we found that the value stream worked properly and the DataChange event triggered the execution of the service. But, for the data that was forwarded from the storage (it was stored due to disconnection between Thingworx and Kepware), rather than executing the service for each value that triggers the DataChange event, we saw duplicate results in our DB. Hello, I'm trying to create and simulate contact analysis on mounted parts there are 6 main frames, 12 bolts and 4 pins with around 20 contacts defined. simulation doesn't converge at all. everything i've tried didn't get me anywhere always contact area is dancing around and residual factor too. I'm sure that I have defined all the contacts in all the places. All the frames are modelled as 1 part and all the bolts has slight interpenetration to create pretension. But it doesnt converge at all. Is there any good practice how to create contact simulation with many contacts? \  Things that i've tried: create pretension, delete pretension, fine mesh, rough mesh, change parameter called sim_contact_tolerance_factor increase/decreace, change convergence settings, finite friction, infinite friction, 0 friction, Example of convergence:    Load factor : 1.00000e-01 Residual norm tolerance: 1.00000e-09 -------------------------------------

We have several instances of ThingWorx and would like to utilize Azure Key vault. Is there a built in way to easily integrate ThingWorx to read from Azure Key Vault? We have enterprise databases used across instances, so when we migrate each one from Dev/Test/Prod we need to update the passwords. Unfortunately we are unable to use Solution Central.    

Hi,in the introductory video of what's new in Creo 9.0, in the Sketcher section, there is "Auto-scale first sketch".Looking in the config I found the option:sketcher_auto_scale_dimensions which by default is set to "yes".The description of the option is: "When creating the first sketch in the model and modifying the value of a weak dimension for the first time, controls whether to auto scale the sketch in proportion to the modified dimension. "I haven't been able to make it work yet, maybe I misinterpret it, has anyone managed to make it work?Thank you.I use creo 9.0.0.0

Hello!To create a report for Fire Certificate Inventory List (EN 45545) I want to use a repeat region of my top-level assembly.For every part, I need to report the assembly where it is mounted.Is there any option to report the Part Number (or any other parameter) of the immediate upper level?I hope the picture below can explain this case better.Thanks!   

Can an autogem mesh created from a subassembly and saved be re-used in a top-level assembly autogem mesh?  I'm using Creo Simulate (Creo Parametric 7.0.10.0), native mode. I have saved several subassembly meshes and I would like to use them in a top-level assembly, but I'm unable to make it work.  The subassembly meshes do not appear in the top level with all the connections that were created at that level;  I must recreate them at the top level.  The saved meshes are stored in the active workspace in Windchill as .mma files (.mmp files for parts). I noticed that there is more literature available related to assembly meshes when using FEM mode.  Is that the mode I should be using to create and save meshes for this task?  Can this not be done using native mode? Thanks!  

I want to build a model of a circular plate with elliptical holes in it. The holes center coordinate and orientation data are in a .txt file. The center coordinates and orientation are random. I have a program that updates drwing notes per regen.  If a note loses it reference I want to change color.   Theres a colorset function, but I am struggling to set up a ProColor datatype.   Does anyone have an example of setting up a ProColor datatype. ?      Thanks for any assistance.

Hi all, I am new to creo I have a query on the drawing of view. I have projected a view from a parent view and have created a lot of dimensions. Now I just want to delete the parent view or make the projected view as a parent. Is there a way to do this? This is because if I delete the parent view then the projected view also gets deleted along with it. Thank you so much for your help in advance.

Hello! We're using our custom jLink plugins in our Creo. One of them is creating/storing external data into model and the second plugin is reading the data from the model. It's working more-less properly with one exception: when there are no external data created yet and the first plugin creates them for a first time, they are not visible for the second plugin even after model Save/Refresh/Regenerate. They start to be visible even after model close and open again. In subsequent cases, when an existing external data are updated/extended, they are directly visible without need of model close/open. Does anybody observed such a behaviour and could help us how to make external data visible even after initial save? Thank you very much!Juraj   

Hi Gang,Just updated to IsoDraw 7.4 trying to set things up and had a couple of questions. Where are the toolbars located in 7.3 and where should they go in 7.4? Where should the ISM files be located in 7.4? I have accumulated several macros over the years and want to be sure I can access those files.  Is there a file high archy located anywhere so I can see the file structure of IsoDraw? Thanks,Keith

Hey everyone,  We are in the final stages of our SSO configuration for Windchill. We get prompted with the Microsoft sign-in, but it ends up searching for the user's email attribute in Windchill rather than their first.last (our current setup for user accounts in Windchill).We have tried mapping the attributes to no avail. We are also required to delete everything in the address bar after */Windchill in order to get it to load. I end up with a "URL not found" error.
