Curious if anyone has done this. It would be nice in PartsLink as users search for parts to know if there already exists a CAD model for that Part. This can be a simple Boolean but I am not sure alias or calculated attributes can work here. Has anyone does something like this or have a similar approach?    I am sure a listener can be used to calculate this value as the Part is checked in. Since CAD associations need to be modified with Part modification, it would be straight forward to add in this value setting on the way in.  Listeners can get complicated when the Part object changes midstream causing stale object errors.

(Using Creo 7.0.5) What would be the easiest and most clever way to annotate Burr & Break Edge Tolerance in a drawing? I have these 20+ year old drawings that currently is being re-drawn from newly made 3D-models. In the  old ones it's been annotated like this: A more common (modern?) way seems to be using a "corner" symbol followed by the tolerance. The symbol is quite similar to the straight angle symbol found in Unicode: ∟The technical fonts in Creo (font, isofont, iso30985font etc) doesn't include this symbol, so it can't be included in the annotation. My current solution is adding a separate textframe containing only this symbol, putting it in front of the tolerance:  It "works", but I hope there is a better way?

Hi experts, I am trying to use Mathcad to solve the equation based on Equations 4 and equation 6.below equations are from this paper.https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=9913417  when I try to use that to solve the equation. Mathcad can't find the answer in equation 6. but it is OK to get the answer by using eqaution4.I know equations 4 and 6 are different, but I don't understand why I can find it. but this paper can.so I would like to know if my operation is wrong. ps: the version of Mathcad is Mathcad 15

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0Here is a problem about creo large assembly efficiency:I use weblink to assemble the model automatically. However, while the assembly part amount is more than 500, it will be very slow.The installation of single part will be slower and slower as the assembly get larger.eg:first 100 parts : 1minsecond 100 parts : 1min 40 sec...final 100 parts : 5 minIs there any way to avoid this?

Hello, So I went to install the license server for Creo 7 on my license server and it does not want to use the NIC mac address that the current license server is using on the same machine.  Has anyone else seen this and know why it is doing this or how to get around it?  When I do ipconfig /all, it shows 4 NICs and the one it is picking is the last one in the list. **Update*** I have two NICs that are teamed.  The current license uses the teamed NIC MAC.  I have disabled the 4th NIC which is something Dell has for the SAN but we have found unnecessary.  But now the new license server wants one of the NICs and not the teamed NIC.  Any ideas? I am looking for a table to see,which mksapi.jar version requires/supports which JDK  version / is used for testing by PTC.I ask because we are not sure if JDK 8 is required/supportet or if we can also use JDK 11.. We use Windchill .v12.4 and access its API via mksapi-jar-4.16.2671.jar . Thanks for your support.Ron

Hello, We are setting up repeat region BOM tables. Our standard is not to put a "1" on a balloon if the qty is only 1 each. Is there a way not do display a quantity of 1 and still keep the tie to the table?  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0we have Creo 8.0.4 in a network installationin the new workstation Creo live simulation doesn't work good and take more than 15 minutes to start an analysis in Creo simulate (a simple analisys with a cube with one side fixed and one force on the opposite side)the GPU seems to doesn't work and the and all analysis are made by CPUthe graphics card is a NVIDIA A4500 (ampere architecture) with 20 GB RAM, the cpu is a XEON W2223 with 64 GB RAM.in the driver i have activated all option about CUDA to enable it on all application, the Nvidia driver version is 472.98the same network Creo installation, in an old workstation with an QUADRO RTX 5000 and driver 462.31 works good, so i think that is not a problem about Creo configuration, otherwise i coulnd't work in any case.i've verified the driver option in the workstation where Live simulation works and i have the same option activated on new workstation.in my config files i activated the

Hello, We have our Windchill instance where we have lots of groups created inline to our Business needs in 10.2 and now we are upgrading to Windchill 12. We are considering mapping license groups to this Business groups, but we have a situation where few users are present in multiple groups. Like there is a user A who is part of Group1 & Group2 both due to Business need. Now if we assign the Group 1 & Group 2 both with PTC PDMLink License will the user A account for one license or 2 licenses of PTC PDMLink? Regards,Amar

I have a drawing with a lot of parts and want to make parametric notes but want an easy way to find all the ID numbers attached to show the parametric value of each individual part. For example: &PTC_MATERIAL_NAME:300 would be one material of a part and &PTC_MATERIAL_NAME:301 would be another. Is there an easy way to find all those identifier numbers at once?
