Hi folks,   the only reason I'm putting up with prime is that I do have a large data set and MC15 can't handle that many dots. In prime I noticed that once I've changed the trace colour, it became "uneditable"; i.e. I can't change neither colour nor line thickness anymore. Is it just me or a prime bug? and - does anybody know a workaround?   Raiko

Hi!   how are you handling data protection with Windchill? ok Permissions for general access.   But is there a way to prevent Creo users from downloading cad files and passing to other companies? Encryption was skipped with Creo 3.0  I think.   Our reseller suggested remote workstation in a data center. Prevents physical access. But they can still upload files to wetransfer or dropbox. Mail, chat, ...   Anybody using some type of logging? Scann trail file for download actions?! Firewall or mail logging?   I found security labels, but they are more or less another layer within Windchill. (and quite tricky for setup)   br Bernhard

Hi,  I am set as an admin for Thingworx composer that my school has bought. I have a few urgent questions.   I would have configured a few users to a group so that they cannot see each other's work(Things/Shapes/template....).   1. However, in the new composer, under analytics manager and builder, the users are able to see and edit other user's work (model, signal, data, etc...). Is there a way to configure this as I do not want them to edit or view(optional).   2. In the group I created, is there a way to set permissions to a few users(teachers) so that they can view the students work as I do not want too many admins?

Hello, I am getting this error in OPC Aggregator configuration: ThingWorx Native Interface Connection to ThingWorx failed. | Platform 127.0.0.1:8080/ThingworxWS, error: could not establish a websocket connection.   I have created the thing name in thingworx with the correct template. I have also created an application key. Then I have followed the tutorial. It seems everything is correct, thing name, key ID, host and port. I have also tryied to enable legacy mode, change the host from name to IP and change the certificate settings.   There is a print of the configuration attached to the post.   Thanks for any help

Hi everyone, I have a repeater widget and i want to know if it's possible to set properties from the mashup that is inside the repeater to different things The purpose of this mashup is that, the user will set a value to the text box and this value that was set by the user will be sent to the property inside the thing. The problem that i am having is that when i set a value to the text box, that value is being put on both things instead of just one of then. Image of the Mashup below. Thanks!  

In the GUI, when you view a field details, the "Usage" tab shows which Types use this field and if there is an override.    In the CLI, I can't find an equivalent command to list all the Types that use this field. Is there any other command thru' which I can obtain this info?   Thank you,   Balu

Hi all,   we're using a lot of fields in our integrity items, and very often the fieldnames are not the same as the display names. To help our users to indentify which name they should use (maybo for queries or so) we want to put the fieldname into the description of the field itself, so the user could look at the tooltip of any field to get the real fieldname. So we tried to add the fieldname to the mostly existing description, and we dont want to do this with the admin client, because this would be a horrible clickwork (for more than thousand fields).   We've written a script and within this script we're using the CLI-commands to read the fields, then we parse out the description (which is also a pain) and we tried to use the CLI-commands also to write the new description. We have just purchased 3 Advanced Design bundle and a single Advanced Design Plus bundle subscriptions. Since these sit in the same license file, along with some MathCad licenses, how do I setup the system so I can either choose which license the user gets and/or restrict the Plus license to a single user? I think the restricting a license is in the opt.txt file, so that I should be able to get from the FlexNet guide. I have a separate batch file in the <loadpoint>/bin folder for my 2 systems. I have one set of licenses on Server A and these subscriptions on Server B. I created a serverb.bat file and a server.psf file for the subscriptions. I put both the licenses on the same line: ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_DesignAdv PROE_DesignAdvP. When I launch Creo, it only loaded the Advanced Design and gave me no option to select the Plus license. What do I need to do to get a choice of license?

I want to do a custom function that receives a file name, and reads a matrix of symbolics, and return this symbolic matrix do Mathcad.  For example, my file may contain the following 3x3 matrix:   a                        b+c8           k/e3 0                        5+f4            0 (6*a)/(b+c)        0                 1   numbers are numbers, symbols are k, a, e3, c8, etc.   Anyone knows how to do it?

good morning to all, I have a problem with Emx 11 and it is a problem that surely happened to you too, many plates go correct size only that I can not trace if there is a relationship or a quota to be modified on the generic file.on the Pedrotti supplier the binary component in the options there is an entry called RAIL_OFF, THE VALUE is W1, this value reading the file feature_data.txt in the Udf folder the entry RAIL_Off the value W1 and derived from a calculation  0.5 * (RISERS_MAIN_WIDTH-RISERS_WIDTH2) but the result is incorrect, the customer is quite altered because he does not want to check the catalog and correct the quota for all the measurements. I enclose a pdf where the difference in qutature is indicated from the catalog to EMX.Can someone give me a hand?Thank youExcuse me for my English, I do not speak very well

Hello guys, I am stuck for two days about an issue. I have to create a solution matrix for the following two trigonometric functions. m*cos(a)+n*cos(b)=x m*sin(a)+n*sin(b)=y   0<a<180 , 0<b<180 m,n,x,y are constants. a,b are unidentified. How can I solve x,y as matrix solution?   I will trigger x,y values with FRAME, so at each X.i, Y.i values I have to calculate a,b degrees and draw lines. Hello.Is there a way to rename parts/assemblies/drawings using a parameter? Or is there a way to rename automatically several files writing the name only one time? The problem is that I have to rename the drawing, assembly and a part with the same name a lot of times, so it would be good if there is a way to reduce the time inverted on it.Thanks in advance

I've played the module some and see that this relies on borrowed functionality from sheetmetal.  With that, it comes with the restriction of a common wall thickness for the entire board.  In reality, flexible regions have a thinner wall thickness than the rigid sections.  A rigid section might be .093" while a flex region would be .020. Is this on the docket for enhancements or just the way it is?

I have one user who when he loads a file, the color is normal, but as soon as he rotates the part it turns black. Also his appearance colors are not the same as the other users, even though we are all loading the same appearance.dmt file.   This only started for him after we upgraded from Creo2 to Creo4. We are all using the same installed code as it is on a network shared drive.   Is there some setting in config.pro or in the ui_customization file that may be causing this issue that changed between Creo2 and Creo4?

Hello,   A customer reported that his security team did a scan of his Pro/Intralink server and found the Oracle Database needs patches for vulnerabilities.  I am trying to get more data from the scan, such as CVE or anything helpful to further identify.  The scan snippet had little helpful info.   I opened a case to ask where to find these patches.  I presumed PTC would have them since they bundled the database.  The rep told me I had to get them from Oracle.  You cannot get anything from Oracle without a "Support Identifier", so I pushed back.  While I wait for a response, I wanted to get any insight from the Community on this.   Thank you!

Hi All,   As part of some test scenario, We were deleted one of the IBPL fields which have millions of reference to many item types. is there a way that we can fix this issue without harming the database manually .inserting or updating database not recommended for such auto DB populated applications.
