I can pick other trajectories besides the origin trajectory all I want, but the section will not be driven by them.  I can create the old style swept blend, but that's it.  It's forcing me to make 2 sections, and then it gives me a simple blend between the 2, but I should be able to use only one section, and drive it by other trajectories (like a VSS), and I can't.  Am I missing something?  I thought the VSS was now bundled into the swept blend command???Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello all, I've been away for a bit.  I just started a new job and had some time off in between.Anyway, the new place has what looks like 4 licenses, but they are old packages and I'm trying to get an handle on what they are.  Here's what PTC Status tells me::So, 3 foundation advantage with AAX and one without.A floating Pro/NC and Tool Design.  I assume those can be loaded as needed, after Creo is launched (although they aren't used often anymore).What I'm not certain of is  the "Collaboration" extension.  Looking here at PTC.com, it looks like there are several to allow working with Catia, NX or SW data. How can I determine which one we have?I assume that "Mechanism Design" is MDO where I can simulate forces and apply friction, correct?Also, I should pair the "Advanced_Assembly_SET" with my non-AAX seat to give it the same functionality, right?Thanks,

I get this software from school and recently when i use the extrude profile feature or other 3-D features, the program crashed even though I kept reinstalling and even reset my computer. Please help ,many thanks!

Wouldn't it be great if you could save the Cable Length as an analysis feature with the length as feature parmeters in the model tree? I have do so:

  I received an STP model of a part.  The part is a sheet metal part.  I had made some modifications to the part where I cut out a section that comes off a bend, makes a 90° turn and blends into a flat. Essentially, the part in flat had a Round and then the area of the round was bent 90°, causing the Round to stretch.  I would like to recreate this stretched Round in the corner that I made.  The original bend was similar to the following:    After I modified the part I was left with a corner:    When I try to insert a Round, I only get the following:      I couldn’t figure out a way to make the Round follow the bend.  As a temporary fix, I made the corner in PTC Sheetmetal:    And I then merged it into the part as an assembly:    But now I must have this corner bend follow the part.  If the two get separated, the part model fails.I would like to be able to create the curved Round in the mode

Hello,I am trying to modify our promotion request template which was copied from the OOTB windchill one to lock objects when they are raised up for promotion,a dn then unlocked after they are approved by config management approvers. I have a call into PTC tech support but they are dragging their feet as usual getting back to me. Does anyone have insight into how this can be done. I know that it is some type of robot, and from reading the help, it says you must use tranistion robots in conjuction with the locks, but I am just having trouble putting it all together. The default template contains locks, and unlocks already but not in the places I need them. I tried to copy them and put in line, but something just is not working right. Is there a way to avoid the error (Mathcad 15) when I delete (which is very common) the brackets in the denominator?

Is there a way to lock certain cells in Mathcad 15?I am creating a calculation template and want to pass it on to coworkers, but I want to lock certain cells that should stay constant so they can't be edited without a password or something. Is this possible? I only see how to lock the entire file or all of the contents.

Dear all, I have a 3D scan file and want to import it to CREO 3.0. I do not have the reverse engineering license. All I want is to import the xyz points from the file - as points. I don't want to generate any surfaces or solids from the points. I only want the points. Is this possible without the reverse engineering license? If not, why do I get as far as I get (shown in the images below)? Why does it allow be to select a .pts file if in fact I cannot import a .pts file?   I get as far as shown in the images below. It seems to always want to create a solid or surface body. But I want the raw points as datum points or as a single feature with all points inside it. Any kind of help is appreciated.       i've tried automatic, geometry, facet and curve...

Creating STEP files from WF4 but cables are not being displayed. Basic question to format my results to show "+" sign when the result value is positive. My field of application is in structural analysis. Thus, when the Margin of Safety is positive, the "+" sign is preferable to show the positive margin.Thanks.

We are in the process of switching our style sheet from fosi to APP. Currently, we use Arbortext Print Composer on each desktop for publishing. In testing the published output, we are finding that while it is publishing you cannot do anything as the system always brings the editor screen to the front. Is there a way around this??ThanksBryon

Hi Guys,I need some help. Initially all was right and ok. After i changed the parts (hydraulic cylinder), i can't even do the pin assembly. Hi Folks,I am currently testing out our Arbortext customizations/environment using Arbortext 7.0 M030 (as we are planning on an upgrade from Arbortext 6.1 M020).So far, I have managed to fix the toolbar issues (it seems some button icons were not recreated using the newest style) - this was fairly simple to create some new buttons based on the old design. - so this works. and I also fixed a few other issues with our toolset.However, while PDF composition appears to work well with our current custom stylesheet/schema setup, I have noticed the following error in our event log after the publishing cycle ends:ERROR: File Save Error: The file "{#APPStyler}_compose.$$$" could not be created.ERROR: Cannot access file "{#APPStyler}_compose.3ns"I have been tracing through various acl files, etc trying to determine where Arbortext may be trying to save a file that resembles this - however, as I am sure most of you know, the publishing process is fairly complicated.I did find a file called _compo

Hi,I have a problem of finding a solution to easily define materials for wires in Creo Schematics. I need to define all wires from a wiring harness to copper (or density of 8.96e-06) and have 3 ways of resolving it in mind:1. Defining Material information in datatable for spools (What is the name of property for density?)2. Editing information of spools after import of Schematics xml file in Creo 2.0 (I cant find a way of adding information here)3. Defining densitiy information in Creo Cabling (Cant find a way to do this yet)Which one is the best way to do this or do you have a better idea? Hi,   I'm just facing a problem with creating of a BOM balloon from existing repeat region. I have a model (assembly) with steel profiles. Many of profiles have the same dimensions and parameters, but the different names. E.g. : Name 987654321_1 Description Flat Bar EN 10058 - 60 x 20 x 560 Material 1.0038/S235JR          Name 987654321_2 Description Flat Bar EN 10058 - 60 x 20 x 560 Material 1.0038/S235JR These profiles have the same position and quantity is 2. If I want to create a BOM balloon then I am able to create balloon only for one of them and system does not allow me to create the BOM balloon with the same position number for the second item. I am a high school students looking for a laptop for college next year. In my mashup I have a dropdown list widget which shows me all the rows of the infotable; the user has the chance to add new items so I put a button which invokes the serivice.Is it possible to put the "Add new item" command at the bottom of the dropdown list instead of an outside button?

Hi,I've tried to following the 'ThingWorx Java SDK Setup Guide' but i'm facing several problem.First of all, there is no link to the Java SDK. I went to the marketplace to download it. Then I follow instruction until the "Composer Entities Setup" step. I searched for ThingWorxEntitiesExport.xml but only ExampleExport.xml so i tried to import it and facing "Error importing: error, Import Failed: Validation Failure: Thing FirstFloorSteamSensor Had An Invalid DataShape [SteamSensorReadingsPlus] assigned to the result type in service [GetSteamSensorReadings]".Does someone know how to fix it ?Thank you.
