Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: Logs and server status check to find the root cause of stuck issues.Description: Hello,i have a site admin access and we are using WC 12.0we often face CN workflow stuck issue and we don't know what is causing this.i know that we can get something from logs but i don't know which log and how to pull that log from sever status/monitoring tool.can someone please help on what logs can be pulled, how and what to check to find the root cause?Br,Sandy

Hi avillanueva,I need your assistance .Currently we are using Legal Value List and that list contains 1000+ values which are poll separated.We have random values like some values starts by Number some of them starts by ABC so we want to enhance the search capabilities so user can search by any numeric or characters value ,and then it will highlight in legal value list.Now if any value user want to selects then he needs to scroll complete list .For the same need a assistance which approach will be better .like if we can use DU to add searching criteria within same legal value list or any different approach for this things because here we add values in runtime from WC UI so need to think in that way .Please suggest the solution or approach to achieve this

Hi there!I have an issue with the definition of the Prime user function.There are several matrices 2*2 in the general case ( the exact matrix number oscillates from 1 to 4-5-6).Each matrix has a lowercase index (connected to the data from the parameters table). I want to define user function to make matrix production. Due to my modest coding skills, I have no results to describe as appropriate. Dear All,   I am converting a 2D drawing from a part of an existing product into a MBD dataset. To do so, I would like my MBD dataset to fully encompass all the annotations found in the 2D drawing (as they are the critical dimensions of the part), however, on the 2D drawing a Pitch Circle Dimension (PCD) of a hole pattern has been specified. I tried to annotate this through selecting 'Show dimensions' on the holes that lay on the pitch circle, but this did not work. Furthermore I tried 'Dimension' from the annotations tab but this also seemed to not be able to show the PCD. On both PTC (community) website and Google I could not find any answer on how to do this correctly, so therefore I am posting here. My question is: How can I (3D) annotate the Pitch Circle Dimension?   I did find a small work around, to use 'dimension' between two holes of the dimension. This sort of gives the dimension of the PCD, but the two holes are not parallel to the x-axis of the annotation plane. S

I am trying to get a bode plot of a transfer function which I symbolically evaluated first. After that I want to insert some constants and then use it for a bode plot. Is there a way to do that? I am using PTC Mathcad Prime 10,0.1.0.  

Typically,I create a 2D cam diagram in Creo using the "Create a curve by using an equation" feature.After generating the curve,I create a new sketch and project the curve onto it.Additionally,I save a copy of this sketch. Subsequently, I utilize the "Datum" -> "GRAPH" option,and then I insert the copied sketch (the file) into this "graph" feature.Next, I employ the "graph" and the "evalgraph" function to construct a 3D cam diagram suitable for Creo's sweep cut feature.Thus, there are two cam diagrams in my process:One is a regular sketch that is linked to the 2D equation curve, which I use for making drawings;The other is the sketch in the "GRAPH".I believe there might be a better method for creating a barrel cam model and its associated drawings.I would appreciate it if you could share your experience,thank you~!

Hi there, I'm currently working with ThingWorx RTPPM and have a question about the MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) metrics. Specifically, I'm curious about how RTPPM determines what is considered "maintenance" for the MTTR calculation.The MTTR metric refers to the total maintenance time. In my case, I have RTPPM configured to track downtime only. How does RTPPM know what events or activities should be classified as maintenance? Does it differentiate between different types of downtime, or is there a specific configuration needed to ensure accurate maintenance tracking? And similar question for MTBF metric. What is consider operational time? How does RTPPM know. Additionally, I'm also interested in understanding how uptime is calculated in the RTPPM KPI Overview Report. Could someone explain the calculation method for uptime in this report? Any insights or experiences with this would be greatly appreciated! Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)M

In codeBeamer, there is a Trash menu that provides a restore function for deleted items.Currently, to restore a deleted item, users can search for the item by entering the summary text. However, if there are many Items in trash, additional search methods are needed, such as searching by content, items deleted from a specific tracker, or assigned users.It would also be helpful if users could review detailed information, such as the description or fields of the deleted item, in the Trash before proceeding with the restoration. Is there any other way to restore items besides using the Trash?

Hi all,this is a topic that has been bothering me for a long time.Is there a way to apply the view orientation (perspective & zoom) of one image to another image? For example, I copied a figure 1 to a figure 2 and reoriented the view in the figure 2 and saved it. And then I realized that I would rather have the original view (the view from figure 1). But without the option of transferring the orientation from another figure, it doesn't seem possible. It also seems to be similar in animated sequences. I don't know how I could transfer a certain orientation from one sequence to another sequence. Can anyone help? Best regardsRamon Bohne(Siemens Energy)

Hi everyone, I have generated some 4-axis tool paths using the B-axis (rotating the stock), However, every time I export the Gcode it only has XYZ movements. I know that my tool paths are not great and there is still a lot of work needed so any suggestion is welcome, however the most important issue I need to solve is that the Gcode it exports is different than the toolpaths. So any help would be appreciated. I'm going to leave the Creo (Creo 9.0) file and a screenshot of the CNC interface for reference. Regards,Andrea

I wrapped up my questions to PTC with utility "works to specification" which is not the deep level of understanding I was hoping for, I was assured that things like purging and deletion would be unaffected but I want to test that to be sure or at least document them. @Marco_Tosin, let me know if you've seen anything odd since you said you ran this before me.  Here is what I wanted to document. In our use case, all MFG views were created from the Design view using "New View Version". We never revised from the MFG view downward. I am sure the conversion had to make some compromises for other use cases but the database does record the predecessor version in its tables showing it came from the Design view in each case. Post conversion, except for the first version of the MFG view, all now show as revises.  While the predecessor version was altered, as mentioned in my previous post, the iteration that the version was created from was retained showing the Design version. I have applied a condition to a context of the 'p' element in Arbortext Styler. And when I point to the text in editor it highlights this context and the sub-condition correctly. But when I publish the pdf the styling defined for the condition like text color, size, indent, etc., don't reflect in the published PDF.How can I debug this issue to find out where is the styling coming from for this element and how can I change it?Here's a snap of the mentioned context and condition with the document structure in editor in the background:

We've set up SSO in Windchill with Shibboleth. This works fine. But now we want to login with a local user (like wcadmin) and don't know how to do this. We always get redirected to the Shibboleth and Microsoft Page. Does anyone know how to get this achieved?

I am using Creo Simulate Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.3.0I'm having an issue adding a measure. I have a pair of nested cones that represent the front of an aerodynamic body. There is a pressure applied to the outside of the outer cone. There is a bonded interface between the two cones. So, this is like a cone with a thin coating of a different material.I want to know if the coating will delaminate. I want to put a measure on a line along the inner surface of the cone so I can measure shear. However, I can't figure out how to get shear in a specific axis (not one of the primary axes), and whenever I add a measure to a line the study will no longer run.

Hello,i want to install Creo6 with Win11 on an new computer. The licensfile is ok, only windows firewall is installed.When i start the licensidentification everything looks ok, after dropping the licensfile into i get the message "is started" but after this nothing happens and no further reaction or message (also after some minutes). What is the problem?Thanks Alex

It seems as if our IT dept has decided independently that they can save a lot of money on getting computers with slower processors as long as the processor has a good Turbo speed. I've never paid much attention to the Turbo speed when specifying a processor for Creo. What are the thoughts on Creo using the processor Turbo? This is a co-workers new workstation, I'm going to ask him to run the creosite benchmark on it and on his old computer too.  I just can't imagine this being an upgrade, but maybe I just need an education...not sure.   The processor in our specific situation is a Xeon W3-2423 2.1 GHz base speed. Hi, I moved a few licenses between computers. One of the licenses appears to be "good", but anytime I use it the log indicates it is time limited... After 2 hours, the driver does indeed stop. Is there anything I can do to enable this activation if it is not in an active support contract? The other licenses moved without issue. The original computer was KepServerEX 6.9 and the new computer is 6.10. Are licenses tied to Kep versions?

Sketch Inversion Problem I need some ideas on how to make this sketch robust so that it will not invert on me.I know this has been a long-time problem since the beginning of ProE.I would have thought this would have been solved by now. I’m working on creating a UDF for an arc slot.I also have a different UDF I’m working on for a pattern of these on a bolt circle pattern On the pattern I had a similar problem if I tried to use the start angle dim as the pattern angle. When I switched to an axis angle, the issue went away. Here is how my sketch is constructed.  I’m having an issue with the sketch inverting when I exceed a certain dimension on the start angle.I know this is a bit extreme for the start angle, but I’m trying to exercise the sketch to make sure it works in all cases.  At 126 degrees for the start angle the rounds on the end of the slot invert.  However, if the slot angle is increased at some point, it fixes itself and I can i

Hi,I managed to use openstreet map to show some locations of vehicles from infotable (attached) , as you can see i use get properties to be able to use the "automatically update values when new values are available" check box, but the result is really bad, first whenever the infotable data updated the whole map refresh like it shows me a white screen then it load the map and the location as i did refresh the whole page , i wanted to only move the points on the map, also it doesn't show all the locations, sometimes all of them shown, sometime some of them, sometimes none of them, i don't know how to debug it , maybe it shows the ones that has data change, i don't know what is going on honestly, if there is a better way to refresh the data in the map widget please explain it to me,form the infotable i use the LatitudeLongitude property of type "location"  hope someone can elaborate more on how to use openstreet map better, thank you
