I would like to know if the Manufacturing App is capable of launching different types of mashups for different asset types, like cutting machines, forging machine, etc. I want to use “PTC.Factory.C_ProductionHistoricalData_8.4.1_01" as a starting point but have different flavors based on asset types. About 18months ago we changed our default part template to Absolute Accuracy, our Assembly Template has remained at Relative. Im interested in what effect it would have to change the Assembly template to Absolute accuracy, what are the pros and cons? Any input is much appreciated.

Hi!! Currently 2d takes up a lot of time. Other than templates is there anything else that can be done to reduce the time required for 2D?? 1. Like creating a detailed view 2. The holes which are not coming in hole chart, add the line item in holechart and do the dimensions in respective views 3. Add fitting dimensions to the views 4. Give cut bearing dimensions and make rectangular box for it Or anything else which can be used to reduce the time taken for 2D drawings will help. 

To all experts,   I am breaking down an investigation I am hoping to do to simple blocks. I am looking at creating “dummy” bi-modal PSDs to meet a specific rms value. See attached mcad15 sheet If I specify the values fn, zeta1, A1, alpha and p is there a way of Mathcad finding the zeta2 value required to get a given rms value? A solve is returning “no solution found” but it works with a Find(). I believe one cannot use Find() in a program   Ultimately, I would like to create a number of f dummy PSDs with the same (or near) rms value by changing the parameters. For example, I would like to specify a series of alpha values and get a vector of rms value   Thanks Regards JXB

  Hello,   I am looking to send data from ESP8266 to Kepware [ OPC UA server].   Physical layout: Have an ESP8266 (say 192.168.1.100) with a DHT-11 temperature sensor connected. I can program ESP8266 with Arduino IDE environment. In the same network, I have a Server (say 192.168.1.110), with Kepware KepServer  on it. There is no physical wiring from ESP8266 to the Server.   IN this case, can someone point to some documentation on how to send the Temp values to Kepserver. I am aware of setting a channel on Kepware, creating tag etc. But need some guidance on how to program the ESP8266, and the workflow figured out.   Any documentation or hints would be great. NOTE: I am NOT looking to send data to ThingWorx DIRECTLY from ESP8266 over MQTT or REST.   Regards,

Hello PTC Community, I'm in need of some help.   In our company we were using PTC Creo 2.0 but we accually had a license file for 3.0..  I downloaded PTC Creo 3.0 (MED-100WIN-CD-400_M070_Win64.zip) and installed it. Everything works great untill I tried running Creo. I get the same error when running Simulate.   I get following error:   I tried uninstalled and reinstalling it multiple times. Nothing I've done so far seems to help.   I really appreciate any help anybody can provide.

Is there a way to determine how much RAM an Infotable property is using? Preferably, a method that wouldn't involve setting the infotable, checking the total system memory usage, and then deleting the infotable and doing the subtraction.

Hi!! Im using creo 3.0 and I have created 4 drawing templates each of one sheet. I need to use 2 templates that I created in one drawing. I dont understand how to add the template in sheets other than the 1st sheet. I get the needed template in the 1st sheet by just selecting new- drawing-choosing the part- choosing the template and then selecting ok.  How to do this for 2nd, 3rd and other sheets?

I have imported the Integrity Life Cycle Manager extension in ThingWorx 7.4.17. The sample application imported with the extension is not showing any data and while creating the resource provider it is giving error:   An error has occurred that prevents the Resource Provider from being created.   But on the Composer a thing and datashape are getting created. In the script log the error is: Field Definition Name should not contain spaces : Process Item Type Name I have tried creating  resource provider by selecting field names without space even the same error is coming.   

Hi everybody,   Today I am writing with the following issue. (Sorry for not being able to post pictures, but I cannot do it because of the confidenciality policy in my company)   I got an assembly with the tree structure you can see below, and I had to replace the casing for a new one:     The new casing was placed in the wrong spot, so I arranged it so that it is located ·By "Default" in the right one . Then, I re-constrained all the parts below in the tree respect to the new casign. Until here, everything fine. I saved the work into our PLM software and it looked OK .   After a while, I realized that in our visualization sofware the shafts were still in the old position, while the casing was in a different one.   If I "Open" GEARBOX_ASSEMBLY.ASM, I see on Creo what I did (casing in the desired spot, and all the parts constrained respect to it, all in the right position). But, if I open "GEARBOX_ASSEMBLY.ASM" using the option "Open Automatic" the items "

In Creo 2 and older (i.e. the 'old' drawing note / text editor), I could easily switch to the formatting tab within the editor dialogue box and alter the text width factor (typically when my change note was just a couple of characters too long for the change table column).   With the WYSIWYG editor in Creo 3, I can't find a way to change the width factor of a note or table cell directly.  The only way I've found is to create a new text style, then apply it to my note.  This is particularly tedious because it doesn't save the link; if I want to change it again (trial and error), I have to modify the style and then re-apply it to the note.   Have I missed a hidden tool somewhere?

Hello Community,   as you can see in the Video, I added some external data (axis angles) from a robot to the Hololens experience. However, I have 2 questions regarding the numbers: 1) Is there a way to modify the numbers in Studio, so that no numbers after the point are shown?   2) Is there a way to add a Unit to the numbers? When trying to add a second 3D Label only for the unit, it does not look good, because it is not connected to the number.   Thank you!

However when I try and implement this I get the error: "Error executing service AlertAddUpdate. Message :: Alert Attributes For [Above] are not valid - See Script Error Log for more details."   The only attributes we need to set are the limit and the limit inclusive if I'm correct, so why would I be getting this error message? Hello, I try to connect a Microsoft SQL Database to ThingWorx … I installed the JDBC MSSQL Connector Extension from the Marketplace and imported it … Then I created a Thing “DB1” with the Base Thing Template MSSqlServer… In the Configuration page I tried to configured… JDBC Driver Class Name:com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver JDBC Connection String:jdbc:sqlserver://127.0.0.1\SQLEXPRESS;databaseName=thingworx connectionValidationString:SELECT GETDATE() Database User Name:sa Database Password: my password   after saving I get the Message Thing[DB1] is not running… can anybody help me?   I use..  Thingworx:8 trial Microsoft SQL Server 2017     best regards!

As an admin, I can access wsdbprod01136-AnalyticsServer_TrainingThing but my users cannot.  I tried giving and enabling all permissions under visibility, design time and runtime at wsdbprod01136-AnalyticsServer_TrainingThing Thing but my users are still unable to access the object at legacy composer and show loading forever. I had an issue previously for creating value stream but worked after I change the permission. Please help with this issue.

Hello, I'm trying to write the application which reads some informations from asm/prt files in a directory and writes them into xml files. What I can do now is to create an exe-file in VS2012, a prodev.dat and a rbn-file (just did according to the document "Getting Started with Creo Object TOOLKIT C++ 3.0"). If I start creo 3 from the folder containing prodev.dat, then I see the button in the OTK group and can run the application.   My Question is, how can I start my application without GUI and the button is automatically pushed (means, my application is automatically executed)?   Thank you in advance Xinyu

Hi   Attached is a calc Im working on. Everything seems OK until I try to enter a value for epsilon/D and then the program keeps popping that it must be a scalar value. Progressively I wish to use the value of Epsilon/D and then calculate Cf. Here also the program keeps saying Cf is not defined. Kindly assist.   Regards Shastry
