I'm trying to build some globally used Shapes to be used by all new data tables in our implementation. One of which is a standard key generator. However, part of doing this is being able to dynamically identify the "key" of any given table.  ThingWorx has a common "Primary Key" Aspect when defining a data shape, so I'm sure there's a way to write a script that returns a STRING result in the form of the Field_Name who's aspect is boolean "Yes" for this Primary Key Aspect on any given table.Advice??

Hi,our users often copy and paste text from a pdf file into a xml file in Arbortext Editor 6.1.If they do this, they get the carriage return into xml, which is displayed like an arrow:Now we would like to search this carriage returns, which has the entity-code: 
Unfortunately we cannot search this returns. This is also not possible with the "find" command. The only way to find them, is the method with "find selection". But we also would like to replace them.Anybody an idea?Thank you in advance for your help.

Currently it is not possible to search the list of site parameters and PPrints in manufacuturing module or to sort them alternatively (alphabetical). The current sorting does not follow a understandable scheme.   My idea is to enable a sorting or searching the lists. I refeer to call C12915940. We come across this issue every once in awhile in our Wire EDM Department. The wire needs a straight line radius because the wire should not bend.Is there a round feature that will give us a point to point constant round between these two primitives.A cone being intersected by a tapered cube.  When we add a constant round the resulting (long) edges of the round become bent.When looking from the top they look like this.Here I created a boundary blend (yellow edges) between the upper cure and the lower cure (short edges of the round) to shot what result we are looking for. You can clearly see the bend in the long edges.Is there a round feature that will give me the straight long edges of the round. Hi there,I sistematically have same problem of licensing about a floating license taken alternativatelly by 2 computers.I lost internet connection after that getting on both pcs a message telling me that licensed number of users already reached even I haven't any computers yet using Creo 3.0How can I release license?.Thanks.

Hello everybody,i'm currently in a situation where I have 2 apps for the same client, and did not anticipate the users organisation very much.So i'm sitting with 2 non-related organisation, each with their own home mashup assigned, but with some users belonging to both.It currently works because they're not much and I can do it by hand, but it will soon go into production for all the country.The problem is that, there's one administrator for each app, and so there's could be collision when creating users. That I should be able to handle with my creation service and mashups.The big question is, how to handle this for it to not become overcomplicated and that the permissions are rightly given.For now I have 2 big groups containing every normal users for each app, plus some minor groups inside those groups for differents more specialized roles (technician, admin, etc)I'd like a way for admins to know every users of the whole company, giving them access to the app they're administering and

We are in the process of updating to TIA from SMA. Currently with SMA we have two stylesheets one for Editor and one for print. Is this common? What are the disadvantages if we only have one? Benefits of having two?ThanksBryon

I know, we are dinosaurs. But I have been told that Print Preview is not available on 5.4. We use it on 5.3, but for users with 5.4 Print Preview is grayed out. We are moving a group to 5.4 and would really like to have Print Preview.

Hello,I have several models of devices that each have their own unique combination of sensors.  For this example, let's say I have two device models, D1 and D2.I have two different templates, one for ModelD1 and one for ModelD2.In a mashup, I would like to be able to be able to display all devices, regardless of type, in a list or grid.  Let's assume grid because I can't figure out how to populate a list for some reason.  When the use selects a device from the grid, I want to move a gauge based on what they selected.If I had a single template it'd be easy, bind selected row from ModelD->GetImplementingThingsWithData to the gauge and all done.  Since I have two templates things get a bit trickier as I can't bind two data sources to one grid (I think) and I can't bind two different data source return values to one gauge.I can get the grid to populate with all devices by using a custom shape that I apply to all templates, call it ABCGenericShape.  Then in the m

I've used LoadFromFile to export my SoftType & the result is 3 files, SoftType_0.xml, SoftType_1.xml, & SoftType_2.xml. I then copy those files to my production server, and again, use LoadFromFile to import.The files SoftType_0.xml & SoftType_1.xml are imported properly without any errors.The file SoftType_2.xml hangs for hours without completing.I've made sure the global attributes used in this soft type already exist.We're using 10.2

Dear all,I attach here a numerically-solved equation code for you. The tuning parameter in the code is alpha (alpha:=2.4/1.764). What I usually did for my work is to choose different alpha values and to generate the data of gdc vs. t/t_1618. I compare the generated curve to my experimental data and I justify the correct alpha values by naked eyes. Is it possible to modify my code to import the experimental data and let the Mathcad find the alpha value from a least-square fitting? I really have no idea how I should do that. I am looking for a formula to calculate the voltage attenuation on a d.c. conductor (anode) in the soil. The anode is laid out in lengths of up to 500m and the requirement is to calculate how often current needs to be injected into the anode to maintain the anode output. Maximum anode output is 52 mA/m.The anode rod is 0.0015m diameter and resistance is 0.136 ohms/m. Resistance of a 10m anode rod to remote earth is 0.892 ohms. I would like to calculate how often current needs to be injected fo a notional 10m length. Present empirical spacing is 3m, but there is no design justification for this.The anode is fed by a 10 mm sq insulated copper conductoras 10m length also.Any ideas welcome.I have v15, Prime 2 and Prime 3.Thanks.

Does anyone know if ThingWorx has a 'default button' feature? I'm talking about the ability to assign a 'default' button that is activated when Enter is pressed on a mashup (and you're not in a field that acknowledges Enter). Or a button that takes focus when a mashup is first presented, so that it is activated if the user presses 'Enter' immediately?
