I have a client that would like to create a specific subtype of the Promotion request in Windchill PDMLink10.2. They want this Custom Promotion Request Subtype to only be available from a specific Library.I understand that subtypes are controlled at either the site or the org level and that the ENTIRE org will gain the subtype. This means that if I create the Custom Promotion Request Subtype at the Org level it will be available to all Libraries and Products in that org, not just the single Library we are concerned with.Anybody have a workaround or solution to only make this subtype available for the single Library we are targeting? (the dropdown list for New Promotion Request should show not only this Custom Promotion Request but also the OOTB Promotion Request)-Ryan

Hi all,I have a solve block function inside a program. The program iterates through an array, finding a solution for each element in the array. The problem is that the initial guess value does not work for all elements in the array. I would like to be able to use the previously calculated solution as the new guess value for the solve block. Is this possible?I can't post the whole sheet, but I've attached an extract which hopefully shows what I'm trying to do.Thanks

Hello All,My program receives models information from an Excel file and performs the calculations and returns some results as the outputs. when I run the program for large number of input models (300 models for example), the final result is different from individual calculation by the same program.I have repeated this several times. The results of individual calculations are always the same, the results of large number of models are always the same but they don't match.Is there something about Mathcad that I should consider for large number of calculation? or the problem is in the program itself?

HiI have a main equation formed by a sub equation with two variables of interest (AA and BB), plus a third (D) that can not be cleared, so I solve by iteration with the help of the Given and Find commands. My question is whether it is possible to direct the main equation as a function of AA and BB, and according to the values ​​that take these, calculate the variable "D" per iteration. Yesterday I had Mathcad Prime 3.0 installed and running. Today I had to restore Windows 7, so I tried to install Prime again after downloading pim_installmgr_mathcad.exe again, but it won't re-install -only the quality agent. PTC Mathcad and Mathcad PDSi viewable won't re-install.

Hi,   I have purchased an academic copy of Creo 2 online and downloaded the installer and ran it as an administrator. the installer starts taking me through the steps to completion and recognizes my supplied licence for the product, however when it comes to the “Applications” section it crashes and the error message “PTC installation assistant has stopped working” is produced. Please find attached a screenshot of this message.   I have browsed the forum and this seems to be a fairly common issue but no simple answer seems to have been given on there. At first I assumed that it must be my schools edition of Creo/Elements Pro needing uninstalling in order to complete the process, so I uninstalled that but it made no difference. I have tried downloading another copy of the installer but this also does not work.   is there something that I am missing or is there a bug in the installer that I have? Kind Regards, Mike

Hi,Take a bolted structure with fasteners preloaded and then subjected to many loadcases.Contact interfaces making the problem non-linear. Using SPA. No changes to geometry and mesh re-used.The first part of the calculation for each loadcase is identical.Is there a way of re-using the solution to pass1?This would better than halve the time. Hi all,in WF5 is there the manner to select the annotation utilizing the smart filter?Because I can do this only selecting the filter "annotations", but the filter "smart" should not offer you the possibility of select all?Is there the possibility of modify some options to do this?ThanksRegards

I have used hyperlinks extensively in Mathcad over the years, but when posting a URL to an internal wiki page I received the error message: "Invalid path or internet address" The URL address is of the form https://wiki.companyname.com/wiki/This_is_a_test That example is not a valid link, but just to show the link form. Why won't this URL work, and is there a way around it? We are planning on using such links extensively going forward.Thank you in advance for your help. Hello I am and old Solidworks user that has since moved to Creo 3.0. I was wondering if there was an easy way to select and delete constrains in creo similar to the way you delete constraints in solidworks. Hi all,I have built a calculation sheet that is dependent on some rather large data tables. I have used the Insert > File Input method to reference these tables. This works fine for building the sheet, but once I distribute it to 100+ engineers, I feel like there will be an issue with having to lug around several data tables.I found a semi-solution on here that mentioned defining a variable, and copy-pasting the table there. However, this makes the data tables cumbersome. It's also messing up my vlookups.Is there a way I can integrate these tables into mathcad the same way one would with a insert > file input method, but without having to become dependent on external files? Perhaps there is a way I can integrate the data directly into my mathcad sheet?Thank you.-jw

Hello all!   First time poster here and also a recent graduate, so I might not even be using the proper terminology.   I'm making a series of tanks that share walls, with "built-in drainage" since it'll be 3D-printed (see attached file). What I'm trying to add is a slope from the edge of the drain at the bottom of each tank to the edge of all 4 sides of each tank. I want the "rise" of this slope to be 5mm, though this doesn't have to be exact, or I can calculate an angle, etc.   I have absolutely no clue where to start. What function do I use? Creo 2 (M120)   I'm trying to get my repeat region to report AR for my bulk items.  I found these repeat region relations listed here and several other places:   IF asm_mbr_type == "BULK ITEM" QTY = "AR" ELSE QTY = rpt_qty ENDIF   However, when I enter them in my repeat region relations (Table tab, click repeat region, click relations, select region, enter relations in the dialog), I get errors saying asm_mbr_type & rpt_qty are invalid symbols.   What am I doing wrong here?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is there anybody who has a good working lisp code to load a model from windchill 10.2? Hello Everyone,   So I'm looking at upgrading my desktop computer, and I understand that quadro and firepros are the CAD standard for GPU's, but they are both out of my budget and I play games on my PC. I'm wondering then, is Cuda Acceleration (Nvidia GTX) or OpenGL Acceleration (AMD) better for Creo? I need some help from a draft expert on this. I am trying to draft 3 edges that are the same surface all towards the same center.In the pic below it shows a basic version of the complex edge I'm trying to add draft to.Currently I have to split this into multiple drafts all with varying angles to get it to work. This doesn't work though because I need the 2 open ends to have the same draft angle. Please feel free to ask questioons if I haven't explained this welll enough.I'm attaching the Creo file as well if anybody wants to show me an example rather than explaining it.

I am attempting to access and utilize a file for a racing seat, that I am getting from this resource (http://www.3dcontentcentral.com/secure/download-model.aspx?catalogid=171&id=414423#0)       I am selecting the "3D" format, along with the "Pro/E Part/Assembly(*.prt) from the drop down option.   I have "Zipped" selected, while "Remind me to rate this model" unchecked.   After extracting the file, I am going to Creo Parametric 3.0 Student license and clicking "open file" when the file open window appears I have to change the "Type" from ".prt" to "All Files" in order to see the extracted ".PRT" file (all caps on this particular extracted file)   When I go to open the file I see the error "seat" cannot be retrieved (using "seat" here instead of actual file name, for sake of discussion)   Is this error because I am using a student version as opposed to a purchased version? Is the all caps ".PRT" as opposed to ".prt" any indication of this?  

Hi, I have downloaded the trial version of PTC Arbortext Editor with Styler. The program ask me for the (trial) license key. I tried to obtain the trial license using the PTC website, but the procedure fails: PTC website said me that the HOST ID of my PC is not valid. My hostID begins with "90-1b". How can I solve this problem?I sent an email to - but I've not received a reply.

I am trying to hide the header of my 2D repeat region because the header descriptions are from the family table items that were added whether they're dimensions or parameters or what have you. This won't work because for example the parameter "thread_size" shows up as just that where as my company would like the column header to be "Thread Size" (notice the space between the words). So I would like a solution to my problem, is there either a way to change what the column headers are for 2D repeat regions OR is there a way to just hide that row so I can add my own row above with the proper headers that I would like for the table column descriptions?Thank you.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
