Hi, I used to use Perl in APP-over-rides to output debugging information to a file like this:   formatting.evaluateShowString("\"junk\"$^[perl open(TMP, '>>c:/temp/debug.log'); print TMP 'specific-use: " + currentNode.getAttribute("specific-use") + "\n'; close(TMP);]"); This appears to no longer be working. But was pretty "hacky" anyways. Is there a cleaner way of outputting debugging information to a file or log somewhere? Thanks,Richard Steadman

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: Unable to grey out an attribute using APIDescription: Wrote a Validator for the Color classification attribute to make the value Read only.  However, I want to make the Color Classification Attribute similar to Name Extension attribute.I did &jcaDebug on the attribute. DefaultDataUtility is showing. Checked for create page wizard jsp page. Also checked for GUIComponent.Any suggestion on this?

PTC Launches New Windchill AI Parts Rationalization Capabilities I remember seeing this at last year's conference. Very impressed at how quickly this was put together. I am even more impressed that its available with release. Not impressed at how little information has been published about it beyond a short demo video. If anyone has more information, please share in replies. I do have the slides from the last conference which go into great detail. A document explaining security and data protection would be very helpful since it would be a no go at my company if that was not addressed.    Just looking at what I know about this tool, I had two concerns which might lessen the ROI. Perhaps this would be an issue not in my company but a different manufacturer would see a greater need. I purchased the "Mathcad Prime 11 Student Edition One-time License" and I am unable to download the software. I am unable to open a support case due to "insufficient privileges." Other times I am denied access and when I click help on the global representative link, it takes to a page that does not even open. I have already made a post on the PTC community, but have gotten no replies, I am not sure what else I can do.

Hello, I am trying to use an IF Statement to check one vector against another.  I would like to return the same value into a vector or an altered value depending on if the one vector's value at a row is above 0 degrees.  I have tried replacing Theta_0 with the value of 0 deg.  Either way I am getting an error that says the value must be a scalar.  Could someone help me figure out how to make this IF Statement function properly?   V/r,Devin

My computer factory reset and I have a student license for MATHCAD Prime. How do I re-download MATHCAD? When I go to the Mathcad quick installation guide and I go here: https://support.ptc.com/appserver/lm/mathcad/download/index.jsp and I enter my product key nothing pops up for me to download. Trying to update the production (part count) for the past timestmp based on the "Production Event UID". Used the following service, PTC.SCA.SCO.MnfgCommonProductionUtilsThing.AdjustProductionQuantity_PRD() The count reflecting into current shift or current production event. The part count considered as current part count from machine. What is best practices or possible ways to update the part count for past timestamp using production event?   @mstarnaud 

Thanks in advance for any input.  I am somewhat new to Mathcad Prime.  I have generated a range variable sigma_t. when i use this in an equation H(sigma_t):= it does not compute and gives the "this variable is undefined" error.  I cannot for the life of me figure out what the issue is and what i can do to fix this.  assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello. I am simulating one beam model which rotates around an axis.・A clock spring is set on the rotation axis.・In MDO, beam model start to rotates upward once it start running I would like to explore Minimum Spring Constant K (Nmm/deg)  that allows the beam model to rotate more than 40 degrees.(no need to change Beam model dimension) In this case, is it possible to obtain a solution for the spring constant K with BMX?Or any other solution in Creo? I try setting Spring constant K as BMX Goal by using relation. But it was not explored This problem will be solved by hand calculations. However If a solution exists for this simple problem, I will apply the method to more complex problems . (to simulate Car Seat Tumble Motion) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.8.0When I am transition my old IDF board to an IDX file, it is giving me an error with my ECAD areas. When I try to edit the sketch of my ECAD area and hit "OK", it gives me the error "Cannot have more than one outer loop". I have several circular areas within my sketch that all should be route keep outs.Is it telling me that I have to make individual features for each of my many zones?That would be a very inconvenient way to model several of the same type of zone. Each zone is slightly different and can't be created using patterns. Is there a workaround to this?Here are the errors that I faced"Cannot have more than one outer loop"

Hi, I am new to MPMLink, so this might be something basic. My requirement is to add some custom types for the BOM Type in the drop down menu (which by default has the values Costing, Production & Testing). This is while creating a new Downstream branch from the Manufacturing Associative Part Structure Browser. The BOM Type is not an object I believe, could not find anything so far. Please help or any clues how to proceed further would be great. Thanks
